10 Day Hoodia Diet Review

You’re about to learn everything you need to know about 10 Day Hoodia Diet. We put a laser focus on ingredients, side effects, scientific research and support team quality. Furthermore, we analyzed hundreds of customer comments and reviews. Then, we summarized and refined to give you the info you need.

EDITOR'S TIP:

What is 10 Day Hoodia Diet?

Firstly, 10 Day Hoodia Diet ingredients are green tea extract 200 mg, hoodia gordonii 200 mg, garcinia extract 100 mg, caffeine 100 mg, choline 80 mg, inositol 80 mg and l-methionine 80 mg. It promotes weight-loss by suppressing appetite, boosting energy and burning fat. The blister pack makes it easy to take the recommended three capsules per day.

There’s no mention of when 10 Day Hoodia Diet was first introduced by Applied Nutrition. But the company was founded around 2006. It appears as if the supplement is no longer sold on the official website. We do like that it contains a few natural ingredients and that the company is a staple in the industry, but read on…

Ineffectiveness – “Not Losing Weight?”

The first negative related to 10 Day Hoodia Diet ingredients not producing results. “There’s research showing the benefits of green tea and caffeine,” said our Research Editor. “Unfortunately, these two may not be enough to help you lose those extra pounds.”

“I took this product as directed for 20 days (I bought two boxes). Unfortunately, I noticed no decrease in appetite and I lost no weight,” said a consumer.

Another dieter reported, “I bought this product because I have heard a huge hubbub about hoodia and how great it was. I took this and had NO appetite suppression at all, I lost zero weight, and I had no extra energy not even a tad little bit.”

On the flip side, we found that other customers did think 10 Day Hoodia Diet worked. “I am on day 4 and I have lost 3 pounds. I definitely feel a difference in my appetite,” commented a customer.

Side Effects – “From Natural Ingredients?”

According to customer reviews, 10 Day Hoodia Diet side effects were quite unpleasant. “You will get sick and feel nauseous if you do not eat,” reported a dieter.

“The first day I tried it I felt like I was on a ton of coffee. I got sick and lost muscle mass,” said a customer.

Another commented, “followed the advice of others who said to take with food. I did and still had an upset stomach for the rest of the day.”

While some customer reported negative side effects, others shared their positive take on this one. “It suppressed my appetite without all the side effects of the other stuff,” reported a dieter.

“At first I thought it was over stimulating me like I was racing, but then I realized it was working,” said another.

One commented, “it’s supposed to increase your heart rate. I just stopped drinking coffee to eliminate the shakes.”

The Science – “What Does Research Say?”

Considering 10 Day Hoodia Diet isn’t sold on an official website, we had to pick apart the ingredients to see if this one is supported by scientific evidence. Green tea and caffeine are both connected to weight-loss by way of boosting metabolic rate. Unfortunately, any study proving they work doesn’t relate to this formula. Also, hoodia gordonii is often considered a “fad” with no clinical support. What’s important to us at DietSpotlight is solid science that supports claims made by a company. When this isn’t available, we raise the red flag.

The Bottom Line – Does 10 Day Hoodia Diet Work?

Is 10 Day Hoodia Diet the real deal? Well, we like that we found some positive comments and that it contains a few natural ingredients, but we’re hesitant about this one because there’s no research connecting this supplement to weight-loss. Additional concerns arose when we heard customers talking about the lack of results and negative side effects.

If you want to lose extra pounds, we suggest going with a supplement not connected to harmful side effects, but offering a formula backed by research and shown to work.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. The four ingredients are clinically-tested and promote weight-loss by helping ignite fat loss and accelerating metabolism. Customers are talking about seeing exceptional results and there’s no mention of harmful side effects.

Also, as an excellent sign of confidence in their supplement, the makers of Leptigen are offering customers a Special Trial Offer.

How Does 10 Day Hoodia Diet Compare?

Previous 10 Day Hoodia Diet Review (Updated June 4, 2013):

What You Should Know

The 10-Day Hoodia Diet is a pill form appetite suppressing formula produced by Applied Nutrition. The product promises weight loss over a 10 day period due to the body's low caloric intake. The key ingredient is the cactus-like fruit Hoodia Gordonii which African tribesman have sworn by as an appetite reducer for hundreds of years. 10-Day Hoodia Diet also contains the fruit Garcinia Cambogia, which theoretically helps the body burn carbs. On top of that, each serving contains the same amount of caffeine as a strong cup of coffee. Three of the formula's other main ingredients are Choline, Inositol, and L-Methionine, which are said to help metabolize fat, carbs and proteins.

List of Ingredients

Green Tea extract (20% caffeine)(leaf) 200 mg, Hoodia gordonii extract (20:1)(aerial) 200 mg, Garcinia extract (50% hydroxycitric acid)(fruit) 100 mg, Natural Caffeine 100 mg, Choline (as Choline Bitartrate) 80 mg, Inositol 80 mg, L-Methionine 80 mg

Product Features

Each serving contains 40 mg of caffeine, which comes from Green Tea extract, as well as an extra 100 mg of natural caffeine. This can help promote fat burning and help the immune system. However, this dosage could cause nausea or an increased heart rate. Garcinia Cambogia is a pumpkin like fruit which contains Hydrocitric Acid (HCA). This can help metabolize lipids (fats). This is true in animal studies, yet has not proven effective in a significant amount of human trials. The ingredient Choline also has little or no proof that it has any effect on metabolizing fat. This organic compound is more often used to build neurotransmitters in the brain, acting as a "smart drug". Currently there is no research proving that a boosted level of Inositol in a human body can produce any health benefits. L-Methionine is not recommended for supplementing unless recommended and monitored by a physician. However, nutritionist and author of "The Fat Flush Foods" Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D. argues that L- Methionine, teamed up with Choline and Inositol, is a powerful detoxifier, cholesterol zapper, and fat reducer.

Advantages

  • Contains adequate amount of Hoodia ingredient.
  • Green Tea extract contains antioxidants.
  • Comes in soft gel tablets.

Disadvantages

  • High level of Caffeine can induce nausea.
  • More expensive than the average Hoodia product.
  • Lack of scientific evidence behind its claims.
  • There is no thermogenic fat burner.

Conclusion

Although Hoodia products have been proven to suppress hunger, the extract does not have a thermogenic effect on the body, meaning it does not help you burn fat. Teamed up with a large amount of caffeine per serving this product will give you energy. However, after 10 days of taking in a controlled amount of caffeine, your body will be less susceptible to it and your energy level will drop faster. Also, the product's website suggests that 10 days of taking the product is not enough time to see significant gains.
