Ab Shaper Pro Review
What You Should Know
The Ab Shaper Pro is a European abdominal machine shaped like an adjustable weight bench. The handles reach around the front of the bench where they are attached, created a closed in system. In order for the user to sit in the seat, they need to bend down under the handlebars and crawl into the seat. This is a huge negative for the Ab Shaper Pro as getting into the machine and back out again could cause back strain or a muscle pull. It is also dangerous to crawl into the machine because the back support rocks back and forth. The going price for the Ab Shaper Pro is just $39, which probably means retailers are selling out of the stock and discontinuing the item. There is no official website for the Ab Shaper Pro.
List of Ingredients
Abdominal workout machine.
The Ab Shaper Pro claims to add strength and firmness to the abdominal muscles. Once the user is sitting in the seat, which is a difficult task, they place the arms on the handlebars. The user then leans back, stretching the abdominal muscles. Returning to an upright position is the same as doing on sit-up. The user repeats this movement as many times as desired.
The product description claims the Ab Shaper Pro works lower abdominals, upper abdominals and obliques. We can see how the upper and lower abs would be engaged during the movement, but there is no side adjustment to focus movement on the obliques.
The AB Shaper Pro features 200-degree movement, non-slip foot bar, high-back support and padded seat. The frame and machine must be assembled at home, but there are no details about how long assembly takes or what types of tools is needed to assemble the unit.
The price of the Ab Shaper Pro is significantly lower than other comparable abdominal machines. Unfortunately, the only website we found selling the product was out of Australia. The low price and no official website likely means the product is no longer being manufactured and will soon be unavailable for purchase.
- Works full-range of abdominal muscles.
- Supports the back to prevent injury and pain.
- Priced lower than comparable models.
- May not be available in the United States.
- Does not work obliques as claimed.
- No testimonials supporting claims of increased strength and firmness.
The Ab Shaper Pro looks more like a weight bench than an abdominal trainer does. The low price is a clear sign that the machine is being clearanced out. Without an official website, we have no idea if there is a newer model or an alternative to the Ab Shaper Pro. The attached handlebars make it very difficult to use the machine.
