ABC Acai Berry Review
What You Should Know
ABC Acai Berry is another acai supplement that wants dieters to believe in the weight loss power of acai. There are no weight loss benefits associated with acai, so the dieter can take all of the ABC Acai Berry they want and they will not lose weight as a direct effect of the acai berry. However, there are ingredients in the formula that could cause weight loss. Then again, there also ingredients in ABC Acai Berry that could cause liver damage. This is not a safe supplement and dieters should approach this one with extreme caution.
List of Ingredients
- Acai berry
- Garcinia cambogia
- Dietary fiber
- Green tea
Acai berry is a strong antioxidant, but it is not a weight loss ingredient. The dieter will likely not feel the effects of the antioxidant, but it could help fight free radical damage and may reduce some of the physical signs of aging, like wrinkling of the skin.
Aloe is a natural laxative that works to lubricate the bowels. The effect is not as strong as a stimulant laxative, but the dieter may notice increased bowl movements or loose bowels.
Chitosan is a form of fiber that science is currently investigating for medical benefits. As it is, this ingredient is likely included for additional laxative support.
Garcinia cambogia is a stimulant used in fat burners. This stimulant is unsafe, however, due to a possible connection between hydroxycitric acid (another name for garcinia cambogia) and liver damage.
Dietary fiber slows digestion, suppresses appetite and works as a bulk-forming laxative. That makes three laxatives in the same supplement.
ABC Acai Berry also contains the proven fat burner or metabolism-booster – green tea. There is no amount listed. We need to know how much green tea the company includes in the supplement or they might as well leave it off the ingredient list.
- Contains green tea extract – boosts metabolism in the right quantities.
- Contains an appetite suppressant – dietary fiber.
- Provides strong antioxidant support.
- Contains a natural laxative.
- Garcinia cambogia may be associated with liver damage.
- We have no idea how much green tea is in the formula.
- Acai berry offers no weight loss or cleansing benefits.
ABC Acai Berry contains some positive ingredients, but when companies add potentially dangerous ingredients to good ingredients it makes the entire supplement dangerous. There is some evidence that garcinia cambogia causes liver problems. Enough evidence, as a matter of fact, to cause an entire supplement company to reformulate the whole lineup of supplements to replace the ingredient. That makes this supplement unsafe.
