Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker Review
What You Should Know
Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker claims to block the absorption of carbohydrates so dieters can enjoy all the high carbohydrate foods they love without gaining weight. Typically these products will include a bean extract like white kidney bean extract. There are no clinical studies proving any bean will block carbohydrates from being absorbed. There is evidence that fiber can cause food to digest a bit more slowly causing a full feeling or decreasing cravings and many beans contain fiber, but that is the only real connection to weight loss. As far as we can tell, there are no known supplements that block carbohydrates from digestion.
List of Ingredients
Chromium Nicotinate Glycinate Chelate, White Kidney Bean Extract, Banaba Leaf Extract.
As we stated above, carb blockers contain bean extract and Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker lists white kidney bean extract on the ingredient list. The first ingredient, and the most prominent in the supplement, is chromium nicotinate glycinate chelate. Chromium has long been associated with blood glucose control and decreased appetite. Chromium works by preventing glucose levels from spiking and them crashing after eating foods high in carbohydrates. We like the fact that Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker includes chromium. Banaba leaf extract is used for controlling blood sugar levels in much the same way chromium works.
The next ingredient is the infamous white kidney bean extract. We did find several studies supporting weight loss claims associated with white kidney bean extract. However, many included only a small number of participants and very vague study information. For instance, one study involved 60 participants. One half took 445 mg of white kidney bean extract and 60 mcg of Chromium, with a few other ingredients. The second half took a placebo. Both groups followed a nutritionists eating plan and took the supplement before one carbohydrate-rich meal every day. There is no mention of what the other meals included. Also, the supplement contained more than just white kidney bean extract. Another huge discrepancy between Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker and available studies is the amount of white kidney bean extract. Many studies include 400 to 500 mg. Accuslim only include 333 mg per serving.
Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker sells for $49.95 per bottle. There is a money back guarantee on all Accuslim products.
- Chromium and Banaba may help regulate hunger.
- Ingredients are listed online.
- Money back guarantee.
- White kidney bean extract does not block carbohydrates.
- There is less white kidney bean extract in Accuslim Advanced Carb Blocker than proven supplements.
We believe there are proven ingredients and ingredients that could work if combined with those proven ingredients. In the right dosage, white kidney bean extract combined with chromium and green tea extract could help a dieter lose weight, but this product does not contain those ingredients.
