Adralin is called an energizing supplement by the manufacturers and the ingredient list supports that claim 100-percent. An energizing supplement is nothing more than a combination of stimulants with a few other ingredients thrown in to make the ingredient list look good. In the case of Adralin, the extra ingredients are included to possibly decrease blood pressure and increase the absorption of other ingredients, but we’re not sold on the idea of packing multiple stimulants into one supplement just to increase energy. Not only is the supplement bound to be too strong for most people, some of the ingredients are contraindicated when the dieter is taking prescription medications. There is also the fact that CTD Labs claims this supplement is an alternative to the prescription medications available for ADD treatment.

List of Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • L-Tyrosine
  • Sulbutiamine
  • Phenylethylamine HCL
  • Caffeine Anhydrous
  • Raspberry Ketone
  • 5-HTP
  • Hordenine
  • 1, 3 Dimethylamylamine
  • Synephrine HCL
  • Vinpocetine
  • Bioperine
  • L-Huperzine A

Product Features

First we are going to address the claim that people can use Adralin as an alternative to prescription ADD medications. The reason CTD Labs makes this claim is because there are people who abuse ADD medications for the purpose of losing weight. If this supplement is marketed as a viable alternative to prescription ADD medications than maybe it will have the same effect on appetite as prescription ADD medications. This is a tricky marketing choice and one that decreases the trust the dieter has in the company.

The ingredient list contains multiple stimulants, including caffeine, 1, 3 dimethylamylamine, synephrine and hordenine. These will increase energy as standalone ingredients, let alone as combined ingredients. Synephrine may increase blood pressure and 1, 3 dimethylamylamine may cause heart palpitations. Stimulants should not be unsafe to take. Phenylethylamine is a mood altering ingredient. Interestingly, this ingredient should not be taken with many prescription medications, including MAOIs and depression medications. Taking phenylethylamine when you have bipolar disorder can cause severe negative side effects.

Advantages

  • Ingredients are listed online.
  • Will increase energy.
  • Inexpensive.

Disadvantages

  • Not safe for dieters with mental health issues.
  • Should not be taken with prescription medications.
  • May cause negative side effects, including increased blood pressure and heart palpitations.
  • Synephrine is associated with many of the same side effects as ephedra.

Conclusion

Adralin is not a viable alternative to prescription medications for ADD if you suffer from ADD. Your doctor should be working with you to relieve your symptoms safely. If you are looking for an appetite suppressant or stimulant to increase metabolism, this is not the safest supplement on the market. There are too many stimulants in the formula for most dieters.
