African Mango Plus Review
What You Should Know
The official website for African Mango Plus looks very familiar. Most products with a free trial and exaggerated claims are simply too good to be true. We have a feeling this product falls into that category. The front page pictures a slim woman. The small print under the picture reveals the product comes with a free membership in the weight loss fitness program. Some supplement companies are enrolling customers in these “free trial” memberships instead of charging them for an auto-ship program. The claims associated with African Mango Plus include weight loss, increased metabolism and increased fat oxidation. The supplement also increases energy and reduces fatigue.
List of Ingredients
Chromium Polynicotinate, Green Tea Leaf, Caffeine, African Mango Plus and L-Theanine.
Chromium polynicotinate naturally control blood glucose levels. Some dieters use chromium to control appetite. Blood glucose levels are directly linked to hunger. When dieters eat meals high in carbohydrates, the body responds by producing more glucose. When all carbs are transformed to energy, glucose levels suddenly plummet and hunger is signaled. Chromium may help ease glucose up and down more effectively so cravings don’t occur.
Green tea leaf contains EGCG and caffeine, both proven to increase metabolism and weight loss. While no clinical studies are listed on the official website for African Mango Plus, it is the amount of green tea that is more important. About 350 mg of green tea is needed for optimal effects. One serving of African Mango Plus contains 225 mg but the supplement is taken twice a day.
Caffeine – 200 mg – is the main stimulant in African Mango Plus. This is the same amount of caffeine used in anti-sleep aids like Vivarin. The average dieter does not consume 200 mg of caffeine at one time, so jitters, shakes, nausea and other side effects may result from taking this supplement.
African Mango Plus provides a good source of antioxidants, as is the case with most fruits used in weight loss supplements. L-theanine is linked to improved immune system function. It also reduces the effects of physical and mental stress.
African Mango Plus sells for $50 a bottle. There is no mention of the order recurring or the membership to the weight loss fitness program costing anything later.
- Some ingredients are proven to boost weight loss.
- The price is comparable to other fat burners.
- Free membership to an online weight loss club.
- Too much caffeine for the average dieter.
- No clinical trials supporting proven ingredients.
- No before and after photos showing weight loss.
Dieters want more than a few proven ingredients packaged with a bunch of extraordinary claims. In order for the dieter to make the leap from visitor to buyer, they need to see how the supplement works for other dieters. Before and after photos and testimonials is the right way to start. Clinical studies supporting active ingredients are another huge plus. African Mango Plus offers neither.
