In her book, readers will find strategies and advice to help deal with the challenges of improving their lifestyle to lose weight and keep it off. One of the biggest things she talks about is how to handle social situations and and other family gatherings that seem to be centered around food. Her most important tip is food journaling. By writing down what you are eating, you are held accountable for everything that goes in your mouth. It also gives you a record so you can see what’s going on, and better track your portions. You need to make small, attainable, clear cut goals, so you can work toward them realistically. Once you have set your goal, you need to find some form of support, be it through friends, family, or an online support group for people trying to lose weight. Though the book does not provide a detailed meal plan, it does include a variety of recipes. You will get advice on your exercise routine, and how she worked out during the show to shed the pounds. You will also learn what she does to keep the weight off.

  • This book include recipes.
  • This book contains a motivational story most people can relate to.
  • There are tactics to use to help you lose weight and keep it off.

  • This book does not really contain any new information.

  • There is not a detailed fitness or dietary plan included in the book so little guidance is provided.

This book may be a good read and help you get some advice you could apply to another weight loss regimen, but it is not ideal for those who are looking for a regimen to follow. The personal account can motivate you, but does not really have anything new to offer you if you are trying to lose weight. What is important for weight loss is that you follow a nutritionally balanced diet and burn more calories through exercise than what you consume through healthy food choices. If you want to boost your weight loss efforts, consider adding a proven weight loss supplement (either a fat burner or appetite suppressant) to the routine.
