AMP 2 Review
What You Should Know
AMP2 is also known as ErgoLean by ErgoPharm. The fat loss product is no longer available through ErgoPharm. We could not find an official website for the product or the ErgoPharm company. We did find an official website for ErgoGenix which lists ErgoBurn as a supplement currently available for dieters. We cannot tell if the ErgoGenix website is just a rebirth of ErgoPharm with a different name and new supplements. When we compared the ingredient list for ErgoBurn and ErgoLean AMP2, the results were eerily similar.
List of Ingredients
AMP 2: Caffeine Anhydrous, Zingerone, Raspberry Ketone, Coleus Forskohlii Extract, Fursultiamine, Dimethylpentylamine, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Evodiamine, Kaempferol.
ErgoBurn: Caffeine Anhydrous, Zingerone, Raspberry Ketone, Fursultiamine, Dimethylpentylamine, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Evodiamine, Kaempferol.
First and foremost, aside from the Coleus Forskohlii, AMP 2 and ErgoBurn are the same product. It is highly likely that ErgoPharm closed its door due to problems associated with other supplements that contained prohormones and steroids. AMP 2 is not one of those supplements.
AMP 2 contains 160 mg of caffeine per serving. This is a lot of caffeine, but not as much as some other fat burners. Two cups of coffee have the same amount of caffeine. Zingerone is an extract of ginger that is supposed to increase fat loss. The ingredient has antioxidant benefits, but antioxidants are not associated with weight loss or fat loss.
Raspberry Ketone is one of the most expensive ingredients on the weight loss market – up to $20,000 per kilogram of the ingredient. For this reason, low cost weight loss supplements that claim to contain raspberry ketones probably don’t contain much, if any. Animal studies has shown positive results for preventing weight gain when taken with high fat diets, but have not shown weight loss with the same diet.
Coleus Forskohlii Extract is supposed to burn fat by boosting cyclic amp which then boosts lipase to burn fat. These claims are not proven in humans. Fursultiamine is a derivative of vitamin B1. It is being tested for use in weight loss, but results have not been good. Dimethylpentylamine is geranium oil. Geranium oil is thought to boost thyroid for weight loss, but not all dieters need to have a thyroid boost.
Green Coffee Bean Extract is a source of caffeine and antioxidants. Evodiamine may slow the storage of fat on the body, but this has only been tested on lab rats. Kaempferol is a flavonoid found in tea and broccoli that may help protect the user from cancer and heart disease, but it is not linked to weight loss.
- Caffeine works to increase fat burn.
- Most of the ingredients are not proven to aid in weight loss.
- AMP 2 does not appear to be available for sale.
- AMP 2 and ErgoBurn may be the same product.
The ingredient list is not created from the most potent ingredients so we suggest dieters use a different weight loss supplement.
