Anabolic Rush by AST Sports Science claims to help bodybuilders increase muscle, energy and focus with a creatine-based formula. With 23,935 mg of power packed into every serving for very few calories, bodybuilders can take the supplement as needed without worrying about additional calories, weight gain and fat gain. This could be a positive for the supplement but only if the ingredient list is packed with proven ingredients for muscle-building.

List of Ingredients

Product Features

It is very interesting that some of the ingredients are listed on the official website while others are not. The Mind-Muscle Energy Stimulator, RepXtra and Hydro-Infuse proprietary blends are described, but the ingredients are left out of the description. We were able to pull these ingredients from a trusted website.

The Creatine Matrix is nothing to write home about. There are five creatine sources which is a point of importance to AST Sports Sciences, but that just means different angles of absorption or metabolizing in the body. Creatine is creatine and it pulls water into the muscle to make it “feel” larger after a workout. This can cause weight gain and bloating.

Muscle Cell Xpander Complex is formulated with amino acids. Supplementing with amino acids is common in bodybuilding. We would like to know how much of these ingredients are included to help justify the claims, but that information is not provided. Amino acids work with protein synthesis, nitrogen delivery and glycogen stores in cells.

Androgen Receptor Amplifier is simply L-Carnitine with vitamins C, B6 and B12. L-Carnitine is another common ingredient, but it cannot be taken with protein or absorption is muted dramatically. This information is not revealed in the product description.

Mind-Muscle Energy Stimulator does exactly what it says it will do. Within the proprietary complex is another proprietary blend of stimulants like Caffeine and Yohimbine. Yohimbine has been associated with stomach discomfort in bodybuilders and thus some look for supplements without that ingredient. Two important ingredients for the mind are Vinpocetine (helps control focus) and L-Phenylalanine (anti-depressant qualities).

The remaining ingredients are Arginines, beta-alanine and several phosphates. These are typical and offer no real benefit in the supplement for increasing muscle.

Advantages

  • Some ingredients are listed on the official website.

Disadvantages

  • Not every ingredient is revealed by the manufacturer.
  • We have no idea how much caffeine is included in the supplement.

Conclusion

Anabolic Rush is a caffeine, creatine, phenylalanine supplement that works to alter mood, increase energy and make muscles feel swollen. This will convince the bodybuilder he or she is gaining muscle, but the real gains will come from working out harder.
