Anthracyte is the maker of ephedra tea. We know ephedra is a banned substance, but the manufacturer claims the diet drink is legal due to using similar compounds found in Ma Huang. Several claims on the website state the product will increase energy, resulting in increased weight loss. Considering Anthracyte contains more than four stimulants, increased energy is not the issue. The concern is the amount consumed and the potential risk to heart health. The product does not have an official website, but is available through third party ecommerce site by the case. A case costs approximately $42 or $3.50 per bottle. This is expensive, considering there is no guarantee the product will work as designed. Will the average dieter buy into the hype of yet another ephedra supplement? We will see.

Product Features

Anthracyte is a dietary supplement containing a laundry list of potent stimulants, including ephedra, caffeine and green tea. Although caffeine and green tea are proven weight loss ingredients, certain stains of ephedra are banned in the United States. Throughout the website, the information states the product is legal. We believe the company uses a derivative of ephedra and passes it off as the original.

Considering the product combines more than three stimulants, there is a chance there could potentially be an effect on heart health. There is also a concern relating to the effect on individuals with mental conditions.

There was no official website, so we could not locate an exact price. We eventually found the supplement on a third party website for $42 for a case of 12. This equates to $3.50 per bottle. This is quite expensive, considering similar energy drinks retail for less than $2. Aside from the price, there are no clinical trials or scientific proof the supplement is effective. We did not notice customer testimonials either.
