The Atkins Advantage diet is explained in a book of the same name written by Dr. Stuart Taylor and Colette Heimowitz. Colette Heimowitz is a spokeswoman for the original Atkins diet and Dr Stuart Taylor is a certified orthopaedic surgeon as well as an eight-time Ironman, who credits the original Atkins diet with helping him achieve peak fitness. The Atkins Advantage diet is based on the original Atkins diet, which cuts out carbohydrates and sugar from the diet, the difference being that with the Atkins Advantage diet users also receive guidance on maintaining motivation and sticking with the Atkins diet, as well as an exercise programme.
