We’ve heard people buzzing about Beelean Extreme, so we did an in-depth review of the ingredients, side effects, customer service and clinical research. We digested information from hundreds of consumer comments. Then, we condensed and refined to give you the facts you need.
What You Need to Know
First off, Beelean Extreme is a weight-loss supplement that has ephedra, synephrine, kola nut, theobroma, green tea, hoodia gordonii, garcinia cambogia and more. You take just two capsules a day to improve your chances of losing weight, according to the official website. If you take this one first thing in the morning you won’t have to bring it with you.
The product, offered on Beelean.com, contains no synthetic ingredients, one good thing. The official website does sell the supplement, but you can choose to buy from other retailers. We like the affordable price and all-natural formula, but read on…
Illegal Ingredient – “Contain Ephedra?”
The first thing we worry about is Beelean Extreme ingredients. One is ephedra, which is illegal for use in diet supplements sold in the United States. “This stimulant had its day and now that time is over,” says our Research Editor. “When the FDA steps in and takes it off the market, that’s when companies need to follow suit.”
According to the National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements, “On February 9, 2004, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a final rule prohibiting the sale of dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids (ephedra) because such supplements present an unreasonable risk of illness or injury.”
Dr. Mark McClellan says, “Do not take these products. They are simply too risky.”
Side Effects – “Large Risk”
There’s a strong chance of Beelean Extreme side effects with the ephedra alone, but the formula contains another ingredient the dieter should consider. Synephrine, or citrus aurantium, is a stimulant and this one has quite the clinical history.
Based on information released by Mayo Clinic Proceedings, “Variant angina (chest pain) [is] associated with bitter orange in a dietary supplement.”
Other side effects reported with synephrine use include headaches, increased blood pressure and fainting. The risks increase if this ingredient is combined with certain stimulants. Beelean Extreme contains kola nut, a source of caffeine, and ephedra.
Based on our research, we believe there’s a link between a negative element, like potential side effects, and reduced long-term success. If Beelean Extreme does come with increased risk, that’s not the supplement we’d suggest.
The Science – “Legit?”
At the end of the day, it’s all about science at DietSpotlight. The official website for Beelean Extreme doesn’t list any clinical studies supporting claims of weight-loss or appetite suppression. We know caffeine is a good option to increase metabolism, but we also know when combined with synephrine the risk of side effects increases. There’s also the fact that illegal ephedra is listed on the label.
The Bottom Line – Does Beelean Extreme Work?
So, what do we say about this one at the end of the day? We were intrigued with Beelean Extreme and our review brought us to a certain conclusion. We like that the official website lists all ingredients and there are a couple that can promote increased metabolism, but we are hesitant about recommending a supplement that contains something illegal. We’re also concerned about the fact that the address for the company is in a housing development.
If you’re all about losing weight, we suggest a supplement with safe, legal and clinically proven ingredients offered at a price you can afford and without any reported side effects to worry about.
Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. The formula is made up of four ingredients packaged in a clinically proven proprietary blend shown to help jump start metabolism and speed along fat loss. There’s no talk of negative side effects and dieters are quick to offer stories of amazing results.
Plus, the makers of Leptigen are so confident in the product they’ve chosen to offer a Special Trial Offer, quite the benefit.
