What You Should Know
Black Widow 25 contains 25 mg of ephedra. This supplement is banned under the laws passed by the Food and Drug Administration that control the sale of ephedra. Ephedra cannot be legally added to diet supplements per this law, so dieters need to be wary of ordering Black Widow 25 or any other diet pill claiming to contain ephedra. Many companies claim supplements contain ephedra, but a different extract is included in the formula than the banned ingredient proven to boost metabolism. In this case, the diet supplement would not be banned, but the supplement would not carry the benefits of ephedra, either.

Black Widow 25 contains ephedra, but the source of the ephedra is not revealed. This could mean the supplement is banned or it could mean the supplement contains an ineffective form of ephedra. If we take ephedra out of the equation, the supplement still poses risk of side effects from other ingredients.
Aside from ephedra, Black Widow 25 contains eight stimulants – caffeine, theobromine, yohimbe, green tea, guarana, citrus aurantium, kola nut and garcinia cambogia. This is far too many stimulants. The dieter will feel increased energy, but that energy will soon be replaced with a racing heart rate and increased blood pressure. Other side effects may include nausea, vomiting, sleeplessness and death, in extreme cases.
Despite the massive number of stimulants, we do find chromium picolinate on the Black Widow 25 ingredient list. At least the manufacturer was thinking about appetite control in addition to increasing metabolism. Chances are the dieter will not feel hungry when taking this supplement due to negative side effects of the stimulants, so the chromium is basically a useless ingredient.
