Body Solid is a world renowned maker of high quality fitness equipment, including, home gyms, functional trainers, free-weight systems, benches and accessories. Upon visiting the official website, we found information detailing each product as well as the price. The customer service number is available for questions and concerns. Unfortunately, the website does not offer testimonials from users.

One of the products available on the official website is the Body Solid 225. This seven-position, adjustable weight bench retails for $260 and offers a lifetime warranty.

List of Ingredients

Weight bench featuring seven adjustable positions.

Product Features

The Body Solid 225 is a weight bench featuring seven adjustable positions allowing users greater range of motion during exercises. The bench has wheels located at the rear to assist in transporting. Both the seat pad and the back pad have reinforced cushions for added support. The Body Solid 225 is lower than the average weight bench as a horizontal height of 18 inches..

Although weight benches provide the user with a multitude of options, we found a key component missing from the Body Solid 225. The product does not include a recommended user weight limit. This is important due to safety concern. Even though the Body Solid 225 is made from high quality materials, the product still has the ability to tip if the weight on the product is unbalanced.

We like the space saving design. After an individual uses the Body Solid 225, they simply fold and store either in a closet or under a bed. The folded height of the product is only 9 inches.

If a dieter is looking for an inexpensive weight bench designed to supplement their fitness equipment, the Body Solid 225 is not the answer. Paying $260 for a bench without attachments is a bit unrealistic.

Weight benches are designed to assist in a multitude of exercises. Individuals using products such as the Body Solid 225 have the ability to use them with or without weight. The downside of the Body Solid 225 is functionality. Although the product has seven adjustable positions, it does not move to a declining position. Performing exercises on a decline allows users to work secondary muscles, especially when performing dumbbell presses.

We do like the space saving design and no assembly required. A dieter does not have to spend hours waiting to assemble, simply take the product out of the box and begin exercising. We did find the price a bit expensive compared to similar models. The $260 price tag is too high, considering the dieter doesn’t receive anything but a weight bench. At that price, a dieter can take advantage of almost a full year at a local health club.
