Product Features

The Bodycraft Galena is a multiple station home gym featuring ab crunch, low and high pulley, leg curl/extension, cheat press and Pec Dec. Leg press is available, but is not a standard feature. The maximum resistance is 200 lbs. Adding the leg press increases the maximum resistance to 300 lbs. The Bodycraft Galena is available on the official website for $1800 with free shipping to the continental U.S. The product comes with a lifetime warranty that covers any defect of the product.

The design of the Bodycraft Galena is a spaces saver designed to easily fit into a corner. Adding the leg press attachment requires additional space. The standard features of the Bodycraft Galena include adjustable seats for varying heights of the individual user. We found this a bit misleading regarding the upper pulley system. The height of the upper pulley is approximately 7 feet, so an individual of below average height could potentially have a difficult time reaching the lat bar.

We found the Bodycraft Galena does not offer a comprehensive exercise or diet guide. Both are available, but cost extra.

  • Lifetime warranty.
  • Space saver, the model fits into a corner.

  • Leg press attachment is not standard.
  • Expensive compared to similar models.
  • Weight stacks equal 200 lbs.
  • No comprehensive diet or exercise guide.
  • Multiple stations, but only one weight stack.
  • Leg press attachment cost more than $350.
  • Workout chart and exercise DVD extra.

The Bodycraft Galena is a great home gym for the beginner wanting to perform exercises in the comfort of their home. The space saving design allows users to position the Bodycraft Galena in a corner and perform more than 100 exercises at eight stations. Unfortunately, at $1800, the Bodycraft Galena is overpriced compared to similar models. With a cost this high, a dieter could find a better value joining a health club. Add to the fact the leg press attachment cost approximately $350, the Bodycraft Galena is indeed overpriced.

Someone wanting an exercise partner will have a difficult time using the Bodycraft Galena due to its one weight stack. Studies have found working out with a partner increases an individual’s motivation. We also the available 200 lb. weight stack not enough for the seasoned weight trainer, but enough for the beginner.
