Bowflex TreadClimber Review

What You Should Know

Relatively new to the exercise equipment market, the Bowflex TreadClimber is a hybrid of the stairclimber, elliptical trainer and the treadmill. The Bowflex TreadClimber website touts that their equipment can reduce your exercise time with a super-efficient, low-impact workout and that the various intensity levels allow exercise enthusiasts to tailor their workouts for their own specific needs or goals. These machines allow you to monitor every aspect of your workout including speed, time, distance, calories burned, calories-per-minute and total steps.

The Bowflex TreadClimber is offered in four different models. Their bestseller, the Bowflex TC5000, is compact and designed to fit in any room and is priced at $2498. The TC3000 is also compact but comes with fewer electronic features and is priced just under $2100. The TC1000 is Bowflex’s most affordable model. This model includes three electronic features and is currently reduced to $1498 on their website. The top of the line Bowflex TreadClimber is the TC6000 which has all the “bells and whistles” and the $3499 price point reflects the upgrades.

Product Features

. The TC1000 features 3 electronic functions, speeds from 0.5 – 3.8 mph and a 1 year motor warranty

. The TC3000 includes 6 electronic functions, speeds from 0.7 – 4.0 mph and a 3 year motor warranty

. The TC5000 features 8 state-of-the-art electronic features, wireless heart monitor, and compact design and a 5 year motor warranty

. The TC6000 boasts 18 electronic functions, customizable programs so you can track the results from up to 5 users, and an ergonomic crossbar with a remote operating keypad for easier use. A 5 year motor warranty is included.

Advantages

  • Compact design to fit almost any room.
  • Financing plans are available.

Disadvantages

  • Priced from $1498 to $3499, these machines are a bit on the high side and not necessarily affordable for everyone.
  • Some assembly is required by the purchaser.
  • Consumers who purchase Bowflex TreadClimber are not directed how to change their diets in order to lose weight.

Conclusion

There are several success stories and customer testimonials on the official website for the BowFlex TreadClimbers. The low impact workout is one of the features that many owners enjoy the most. The fact that Bowflex offers four models and price levels allows more choice and affordability for those looking for a home workout system. The available financing plans make purchasing these products a little easier on the pocket. The website does offer a free DVD information kit that allows potential buyers to view before making their purchasing decision. Boflex owners can also sign up for the Boflex Owners Club where they pay a monthly fee of $4.95 for access to personal trainers, diet advice from professional dieticians, and can receive exclusive offers and discounts from Boflex. I have a treadmill that is very noisy to operate. How noisy is the teadclimber?

I have the tc5000, and it is fairly noisy, but an excellent workout. Definitely better than a treadmill. It is not so noisy you cannot hear anything, but you do have to turn the tv up a few notches.

I am used to jogging on a treadmill. How does the slower pace of the treadclimber compare? I want to stay just as toned.
