What You Should Know
Burn Xtreme is a fat burning supplement that claims to hold the secrete to gene based weight loss. Studies proving just how powerful this supplement, or at least the ingredient is may prove to be faulty or misleading – but we hope for the better.
List of Ingredients
The Burn Xtreme Blend: Xtreme Thermogenic Matrix (Caffeine, 1,2 Dimethylamylamine HCL, Synephrine HCL, B-Phenylethylamine HCL, Evodiamine, Guggulsterones), Xtreme SIRT-1 Gene Activation Complex (Resveratrol, 1,7-bis hepta-1,6-diene-3,5-dione), Xtreme SIRT-1 Gene Pathway Amplifier (Quercetin, EGCG), Xtreme Appetite and Insulin Normalizing Complex (Irvignia Gabonensis, Banaba Extract).
There are lots of blends and complexes part of the Burn Xtreme ingredient list. Burn Xtreme contains a thermogenic proprietary blend that is just a list of stimulants. Every ingredient has stimulating effects which will increase heart rate and blood pressure. In addition, some of the stimulating ingredients, like Phenylethylamine, have been shown to alter mood – severely in some cases. Dieters who suffer from mood disorders should not take this supplement.
The Gene Activation Complex is basically Resveratrol. Resveratrol is touted as an anti-aging complex thus the “gene” activation claim. Burn Xtreme claims to activate the SIRT-1 gene that has one purpose in the body – to burn more fat. The study listed as proof that the SIRT-1 gene activator works is a pediatric study in patients with Human Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome. This study is not associated with weight loss.
Fat burners must include an appetite suppressant to fight off hunger associated with stimulants. As the metabolism increases more calories are used up and the body signals for more food to replace those calories. In Burn Xtreme the appetite suppressant is Irvignia Gabonensis. This ingredient is not really an appetite suppressant, but rather a fiber that causes digestion to slow down. When digestion slows down, the stomach feels fuller, longer and the dieter may eat less food. This is the case with any fiber – both water and fat soluble.
Looking at the supplement from the outside with just basic ingredients, a dieter could drink a couple cups of coffee in the morning and afternoon and take fiber 20 to 30 minutes before a meal and get the same effect as they do with Burn Xtreme. There are no unique or new ingredients in this supplement.
Burn Xtreme sells for $69.99 plus $10 shipping and handling on an auto-ship program. You cannot buy the supplement as just a single order and the free trial is only free if the dieter cancels the auto-ship before it starts. There is no mention of the auto-ship anywhere on the website, aside from the Terms and Conditions.
- Stimulants cause the body to burn more fat.
- Irvignia Gabonensis is fiber that slows digestion.
- None of the ingredients are breakthrough ingredients.
- The study listed does not pertain to this supplement.
- $79.99 a month is too much to pay for caffeine and fiber.
We are not in the business to patting a supplement company on the back for linking to irrelevant studies and including ingredients with fancy names to confuse the dieter. Burn Xtreme is nothing more than a group of stimulants and some fiber.
