Product Features

“Healthy Eating and Exercise for Life” is the motto for, a website devoted to instructing consumers in how to reach and sustain an obtainable and desirable body weight. The agenda stresses how important it is to slowly take weight off and assume wholesome diet and fitness patterns that can be adhered to for the long-run, not just “quick fixes” that will give way to regained weight and disappointment.
The website system has been conformed to closely match the guidelines of the American Medical Association. In addition, maintains that it is in line with a number of other health organizations, both private groups and national governmental agencies. The staff consists of members of the Calorie Control Council, as well as professionals with extensive knowledge in the food industry, such as dietitians. They also consult with nutrition writers and those who specialize in nutrition education. The site includes a number of generally helpful resources such as the “Tools & Calculators” section – which provides a calorie counter, calorie calculator and online food diary; a “Recipes and Meal Plan” and a section on “Winning by Losing” where the user can find information from fitness experts. Other featured resources include the “Let’s Get Physical” activity guide, and a “Motivation” page which contains real life success stories. The site also has a “Chats and Support” option in which members can talk to each other and experts. accepts membership from both individuals and corporations hoping to access their resources for which it does charge a nominal membership fee; starting at an amount of about $0.16 a day; although at the time of this review the site was not accepting new members.

  • The site includes live support 24/7.
  • website includes helpful “calculators” and other weight loss aids.
  • The website is available for both individuals and corporations.

  • The website does not offer any comprehensive data on supplements and diet aids.
  • The program is not currently accepting new members.
  • This website will not actively help users to lose weight.

There is a lot available on the site that is of use to the consumer seeking general weight loss and fitness information. The one complaint that is immediately noted is that there is no information on weight loss supplements. For some dieters, “going it alone” is just not an option, whether it be for physical or mental reasons. Those consumers deserve to have their needs taken into account by any site that wants to remain comprehensive in its approach. Hopefully the site will expand to address the thousands of consumers seeking supplement information.
