Carb Down Review
What You Should Know
Carb Down is manufactured and distributed by Da Vinci Laboratories of Vermont. Da Vinci Laboratories has been a leading vitamin and supplement producer since 1973, and is regarded as being “recommended by leading doctors”. Each capsule contains 100 mcg chromium (as chromium polynicotinate chromemate brand), 500 mg of phaseouls vulgaris (Northern White Kidney Bean Extract- Phase 2 brand), and 100 mg of gymnema sylvestre leaf as active ingredients. Inactive ingredients include: vegetable cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and vegetable stearate.
Carb Down is a unique blend of chromium, Phase 2 carbohydrate neutralizer, and gymnema sylvestre. Research has proven that Phase 2 can block the absorption of carbohydrates and starches due to a protein that inhibits alpha amylase from breaking down ingested carbs. The use of gymnema and chromium helps to suppress appetite and maintain blood glucose levels. This product is all natural and vegetable based, so it is perfect for vegetarians. As with all drugs, if you are pregnant, lactating, diabetic or hypoglycemic consult your health care professional before using this product.

This product seems like so many others who are readily available or easily purchased over the counter. It does nothing to stand out from the crowd or even try to nudge you in its general direction. The packaging is plain, the website is dull and the hype and excitement most people would feel about the possibility of finding a “wonder drug” is nonexistent. You cannot purchase direct from the manufacturer. After you search for the product and decide you are interested then you are left to find a reliable seller. It never occurred to me that vegetarians may have trouble finding suitable dietary supplements these folks may be onto something there!
