Cocoawell Review - Do These Health Supplements Really Work?

By Summer Banks on Nov 21, 2016
Cocoawell Review

This review is what happened after I obsessed for weeks over Cocoawell supplements. We at DietSpotlight did one of our thorough investigations, examining the ingredients, side effects, clinical studies and customer-service quality. Plus we looked at all kinds of user comments and remarks that are posted online. At this point, we summarized and compressed everything in order to give you the important facts.

EDITOR'S TIP:

What is Cocoawell?

First of all, Cocoawell is a small range of supplements. The ingredients include acacia catechu, schisandra fruit, cocoa bean powder, natural tea extract, CoQ10, ashwagandha root, green tea (contains EGCG), rhodiola rosea, and a plant flavanol complex. They include True Energy, Cocoa Science, and Advanced CoQ10 Heart. These formulas were inspired by the Kuna tribe from Panama. The purpose of these products is to boost energy levels, elevate immune system health, improve cardiovascular function and assist with overall wellness.

The company behind Cocoawell supplements is Reserveage, which was founded in 2009. All of the products in this range can be purchased directly from the main website. User instructions and some customer feedback are even presented on the website, but read on…

Side Effects – “Concerning?”

The first issue we have is with Cocoawell side effects. “We noticed that several customers have complained of unpleasant adverse reactions such as upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, rapid heartbeat and gas,” mentioned our Research Editor.

One customer complained, “Made me sick to my stomach. Every time I took these, I got horribly nauseated about 20 minutes later. It didn’t matter if I had eaten or not, I got very sick to my stomach.”

On the other hand, a different user said, “Seems okay so far. I like that this Cocoawell supplement provides antioxidants.”

Another commented, “I do not see much of an improvement after 2 weeks. Coffee works better for increasing my energy.”

Minimal Results – “Uh Oh”

Another concern is minimal results. In fact, one customer stated, “Hey, this product doesn’t work as advertised, but they can rebrand it as a laxative because oh wow it gave me the poops in a bad way.”

Then again, a different user said, “I get minor effects from Cocoawell True Energy. Nothing major though.”

“Aside from the stomachache it gives me, I think it works okay,” revealed another.

Our research has shown if there is some particular part of a diet product or health supplement that is especially troublesome (side effects, minimal results, unpleasant taste) the likelihood of long-term success is slim. This means if Cocoawell products do in fact cause unwanted adverse reactions in a lot of people, this could be a serious problem.

The Science – “Is It Solid?”

Well, we actually did not find any clinical research presented on the official website for Cocoawell. However, these supplement do contain some caffeine and green tea. These ingredients may help boost energy levels and improve alertness. These supplements also provide some antioxidants.

The Bottom Line – Does Cocoawell Work?

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for. This is our bottom line on Cocoawell supplements. To start, we like that these products contain various natural ingredients. It’s also nice to see that they are easy to use/take anywhere. Then again, we have some reservations about these formulas because there is no clinical research presented on the main website. Also, we’re concerned about the side effects and minimal results some users have reported.

If your goal is to shed more pounds, then we recommend you go with a product that contains clinically tested ingredients for weight-loss, does not cause any harsh side effects and gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. Its formula is a proprietary blend of four key ingredients, which have been clinically shown to help boost metabolism and increase fat loss. We can’t find any discouraging user remarks at all. Furthermore, comments around the web indicate people are seeing wonderful results.

The makers of Leptigen are so satisfied with their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a good sign.

How Does Cocoawell Compare?

Previous Cocoawell Review (Updated June 25, 2013):

What You Should Know

Cocoawell is a line of supplements from Reserveage derived from the cocoa plant. There are three supplements in the line – Maximum Potency, CoQ10 Heart and True Energy. The True Energy supplement claims to help the dieter fight fatigue and restore overall health with plant flavanols.

Product Features

The only one of the Cocoawell products that supports weight loss is the True Energy supplement. The supplement supplies 142.5 mg of caffeine per serving, which is slightly more than some supplements and much less than others. Running middle of the road in terms of caffeine intake is a good choice for Cocoawell because more dieters can take a supplement that is not packed with tons of stimulants. The source of the caffeine in all Cocoawell supplements is green tea. Only True Energy is standardized for caffeine, the other supplements standardize the green tea for EGCG, catechin and epicatechin. These three elements are part of the clinically proven health benefits associated with green tea. EGCG, in particular, can boost metabolism without affecting heart rate or increasing energy. Even decaffeinated varieties of green tea can contain EGCG and boost metabolism. While all Cocoawell products offer something to the dieter, the True Energy is the only supplement that focuses on adding caffeine to the thermogenic mix. The supplement is not expressly designed for dieters, but it could be a good addition to your weight loss plan if you’re not already taking a stimulant fat burner.

Advantages

  • All ingredients and amounts are listed online.
  • The amount of caffeine in Cocoawell True Energy is perfect.
  • All Cocoawell supplements contain EGCG.
  • EGCG is clinically proven to boost metabolism.

Disadvantages

  • There is caffeine in True Energy and, therefore, should not be taken with other supplements that contain caffeine.

Conclusion

Cocoawell is a good supplement line that could help boost metabolism across all three supplements. We were thrilled to find just enough caffeine added to True Energy to spark energy and metabolism without leaving the dieter feeling overwhelmed with jitters, shakes and anxiety – common side effects of taking too much caffeine. If you are currently taking caffeinated supplements you should not combine those supplements with Cocoawell True Energy though taking one of the other supplements should not be a problem.
