Colovexus is a colon cleansing supplement that claims to help the dieter lose more weight. When we find colon cleansers making this claim we immediately tell dieters that the claims are based on false weight loss. When a dieter takes a colon cleanser, waste is forced out of the body with water. The body can’t tell the herbs to stop pushing out water and waste so they just push and push. Food is forced out before vitamins and nutrients can be absorbed and the body starts to dehydrate. Eventually, use of colon cleansers for weight loss can lead to loss of bowel control and death. Colovexus is a strong colon cleanser and should not be used for weight loss.

Product Features

The first few ingredients in the formula are all branded ingredients. The makers of Colovexus have gone to other companies and paid to use branded ingredients. These ingredients are no more powerful than unbranded ingredients, but they may include more than one ingredient per listed ingredient. For instance, Corowise is a “naturally sourced cholesterol reducer”, according to the official website. We know it is made up of plant sterols, but we have no idea what plant sterols and how much of each plant sterol is included. These ingredients, however, are mostly made up of fibers and bran used to naturally soften waste.

After the first phase, which is touted as the colon cleansing phase, is the body purifying phase. We thought this was interesting because the body purifier contains laxatives and diuretics which we expected in the colon cleanser. It’s almost as if the two are switched. Among the laxative and diuretic ingredients in Colovexus are dandelion root, uva ursi, buchu leaves, aloe vera, cascara sagrada, slippery elm and marshmallow root. Some of the laxatives are stimulant laxatives so cramping and diarrhea are likely to be a problem.

Advantages

  • All ingredients are listed online.
  • The supplement will cleanse the colon.

Disadvantages

  • Could cause dehydration.
  • Could cause diarrhea.
  • May lead to dependence on laxatives.
  • Not safe for weight loss.

Conclusion

Colovexus is a strong colon cleanser with several laxative and diuretic ingredients. When it comes to weight loss, there may be a time when the dieter needs to take a product to relieve constipation, but that is not the same as taking a supplement to increase metabolism and promote weight loss.

In May 2013, I ordered this product, $164.94, have yet to receive my package. I´v contacted them, no one there, no response and no refund. The product is pricy, you´d think the company would be reputable. Thumbs down. Buyer Beware

I wanted to know, how long would it take before your body starts flushing all the waste out, each jar has 120 pills so does that mean you have to continue until you finish the bottle before it works? I don’t understand that.
