She co-founded Women to Women, a clinic, one of the first of its kind, where women provided medical care to women. She developed the plan to help the women she saw in her clinic combat the weight gain issues most of women face with age. The diet works by restoring the core balance between your physiology and your metabolism. According to Pick, there are six main things that cause the additional weight gain, and each one may affect each women differently. She discusses each of these six biochemical imbalances: hormonal, digestive, detoxification, adrenal, inflammation, and neurotransmitter. Quizzes are provided to help you determine which of the six impacts you the most and how, so you can address it first and foremost with your plan. The first 14 days of the plan are a detox to rid your body of the toxins and start helping you see how to make healthier lifestyle changes and choices. For the second 14 days, you will go through a customized plan based on the answers to your quiz. This is the start to getting rid of the toxic weight so you can regain your “core balance” and keep it off for good.

The diet works much like the Zone Diet where a person eats several smaller meals throughout the day, where 30% of calories come from protein, 30% comes from fat, and the remaining 40% comes from carbohydrates. This program however, focuses on making sure you eat quality nutritious foods rather than stressing the balance of the ratios.

Exercise is supposed to be part of the plan because it is beneficial to your overall health. One of the elements worth noting about this plan is that she says it should be something fun, because it is not supposed to cause you more stress; it is supposed to help relieve some stress.
