Cougar Energy Review
What You Should Know
Cougar Energy is an energy drink designed for women over 40. The ingredients are all-natural botanicals that support healthy living and vibrant energy, according to the Drink Cougar website. There are two varieties of Cougar Energy – regular and double shot. The company markets the shot as a Lifestyle shot not an energy shot. We looked for caffeine on the ingredient list and low and behold there was 100 mg of caffeine listed in the original and 200 mg of caffeine in the double shot. This product may contain healthy ingredients but it is still nothing more than a caffeine shot.

The ingredient list for Cougar Energy is nothing more than some superfoods, laxatives and caffeine. We expected the caffeine punch because this is an energy shot, but what we didn’t expect was laxatives in the form of prune powder and aloe vera. Cougar Energy does not bother hiding the fact that it contains laxatives as it lists prune powder as a natural laxative on the ingredient explanation page.
There are no ingredients in this formula that make Cougar energy specifically for the aging woman. The only aspect of then supplement that truly redefines it as a female product is the packaging. Cougar energy and DrinkCougar.com does a great job of selling the supplement for looks rather than formula.
- Ingredients are listed as a complete label.
- Each ingredient is explained.
- The company does a great job of marketing the product toward the target demographic.
- The ingredient list is not aimed particularly at aging women.
- There are two laxative ingredients in the formula.
- The Double Shot Cougar Energy may have too much caffeine for the average dieter.
- Will not reduce hunger.
Cougar Energy is not an energy shot just for women or aging women, only the marketing scheme sells that farce. The ingredient list is packed with healthy antioxidants known to fight free radical damage, which could reduce some signs of premature aging. The caffeine in the original shot is typical and should not cause much of a problem if the user drinks coffee on a daily basis, however the Double Shout Cougar Energy contains double the caffeine and that could cause negative side effects and problems.
