Crank Sports is a sports nutrition company selling just two supplements, eGel and eFuel. eGel is a n electrolyte gel and eFuel is a hydration drink. Crank Sports does a fantastic job of listing ingredients and comparisons to similar products from other companies on the market. We were thrilled with the simplicity of the website and how well organized the information was for each of the supplements.

Product Features

Crank Sports offers two supplements to sports fanatics. Both are packed with antioxidants, citrates, electrolytes and amino acids. There’s fructose and maltodextrin as the main source of sugars or energy. We didn’t notice a significant difference between the two products eGel and eFuel, but both products are clearly equivalent to or better than other electrolyte products on the market.

Crank Sports eGel appears to be a concentrated form of eFuel. eFuel is designed to be mixed with water and consumed on the go while eGel is consumed directly from the gel pack. Electrolyte products are not designed for weight loss; they are designed for extreme athletes who burn through carbohydrates and sweat out electrolytes. In this category, Crank Sports does a great job of replenishing these essential nutrients. The average dieter will not feel increased energy or notice weight loss after using Crank Sports products unless they are being used in connection with extreme exercise.

Advantages

  • Crank Sports lists ingredients for eGel and eFuel.
  • The company compares their formulas to formulas from other companies.
  • You can order products directly from Crank Sports.
  • Customers love the product.

Disadvantages

  • Crank Sports products are designed for extreme athletes, not dieters.
  • There is no difference, other than delivery, between eGel and eFuel.

Conclusion

Crank Sports is a simple company that offers two simple products that just get the job done. That job is replenishing electrolytes, not increasing weight loss or reducing hunger. If you’re an extreme athlete you may find Crank Sports formulas better than other electrolyte drinks and gels you’ve used, but the products are only available at specialty shops, mostly biking or cycling companies. Crank Sports is not a diet company and using their products will not increase weight loss.
