The DDR Diet is more famously known as the Dance Dance Revolution Diet. This diet revolves around the popular video game, Dance Dance Revolution. This game has preselected choreography and songs and the users stand on mat and use their feet and try to step wherever the mat lights up. Since this game was such as hit when it came out it was decided that a diet program should be based on it. The DDR Diet may not be a good choice for those who are severely overweight because injury may occur. It is more geared towards younger people who are only overweight and not obese.

The DDR Diet can be used by just about anyone, but it is a smarter investment for those who already own an Xbox, a PlayStation 2 or a Nintendo Wii. All systems have different versions of Dance Dance Revolution and of these versions there are different features. Some versions of the game come with the option to challenge people online and they can use an EyeToy webcam in order to watch their competitors. Some versions allow up to four players at a time.

    The DDR diet worked for me ! I lost over 52 pounds ! The one thing that people have to remember is that if you stop dancing then your metabolism will start tp slow down again and as of right now I gained 15 pounds back but I,ve started to play DDR again and i,ve lost 2 more pounds . When I originally lost over 50 pounds I was dancing around 1 hour to upto 3 hours a day on light to heavy mode and usually 2x the speed . Dancing so much made me so tired that I woundn’t eat instead I would drink a ton of water and go to sleep and I also stopped drinking soda altogether and drank 3 cups of hot green tea each day . I would say that this is the perfect diet for over weight teenagers…I started playing when I was 17 and now I,m 22 and I still play almost everyday ! The game system with the most ddr games would probably be the ps2 in my thought the best games ddrmax2 , ddr extreme2 and ddr supernova…also ddr for the wii is alot of fun because you can also use the numchuck so your working out your arms and legs and moving your whole body around at the sametime! My tips for playing the game for an extended period of time is wear some longer socks while playing so that keeps your legs warm and circulating better …cold feet equals cramps and it makes it harder to move !Keep hydrated!!!!! Drink plenty of water if you start to feel sick you might be drinking too much at one time . Keep a timer ! I usually set a timer on my microwave to make sure that I,m dancing enough and if your free all day then you might not wanna keep one because you might dance more . DDR worked for me and it is still working for me…my legs are super toned! Just remember as you improve challenge yourself and you might be inclined to dance harder !
