Detox 7 Review - Does This Internal Cleansing Cleanser Really Work? Are side effects and lack of real results deal breakers?

By Summer Banks on Aug 25, 2016
Detox 7 Review

If you haven’t looked carefully at Detox 7, now’s your chance. We dug deep and came up with an in-depth review into the ingredients, side effects, scientific studies and customer care. We examined dozens of user experiences posted online. Lastly, we summarized and compressed to give you the bottom line.

EDITOR'S TIP:

What You Need To Know

First of all, Detox 7 is an internal body cleanser that helps eliminate harmful toxins and impurities. It may boost energy levels and aid with weight reduction. The ingredients in Detox 7 are fiber and herbs, which include- slippery elm bark, wheat grass, spirulina, psyllium seed husks, probiotics, lactobacillus acidophilus, alfalfa, milk thistle seed extract, dandelion root and burdock root extract. You are supposed to see real results in only seven days. You need to take two different supplements for one week. These include the Energizing Detox 7 Caplets and the Pre-Measured Detox 7 Fiber Packets. The powder is added to water and consumed once a day and the caplets are taken daily as directed.

From what we can tell, Detox 7 has been available since at least 2010. It sells on distributor websites like Amazon. This product contains plenty of fiber and it may help improve regularity, but read on…

Side Effects – “Are You Concerned?”

The first concern we had is with Detox 7 side effects. “After reading a number of online user reviews, it’s clear that the formula can lead to adverse effects,” says our Research Editor. “That’s not something you want in a supplement.”

“This product made me ill. I had diarrhea and chills for a whole weekend. Would not recommend,” revealed one user.

“I started taking this stuff Monday morning and by Monday evening I was bloated, had headaches, suffering from fever and chills, diarrhea,” said another customer.

Results – “Lacking”

Judging from the customer feedback, some people are not seeing the results Detox 7 claims. One person stated, “Does not help you lose weight. Sorry, but it doesn’t. You will use the bathroom more frequently though.”

“Okay, tried it for a few weeks, and no actual fat loss. Just flushed out my colon,” said another user.

According to our years of research, if there is a small problem, like headaches, chances of real long-term weight-loss are not good. If Detox 7 causes side effects, this could be problematic.

The Science – “Is There Any?”

We at DietSpotlight like to see some solid research that supports the diet supplement or weight-loss product we’re reviewing. Unfortunately we did not find any documented studies that back up Detox 7 as an effective weight-loss aid. However, this product may help increase regularity and flush out the colon.

The Bottom Line – Does Detox 7 Work?

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for – our bottom line on Detox 7. First off, we like that this supplement combo contains all sorts of natural herbs and plenty of fiber to help with regularity and internal cleansing. However, we have some concerns because it’s not backed by any actual science as an effective weight-loss product. Also, we’re a bit leery of the negative customer comments we found online regarding side effects.

If you’d really like to shed more pounds, we encourage you to select a product that does not cause any unpleasant side effects. Make sure it is supported by positive user reviews and contains weight-loss ingredients backed by solid research.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. This supplement uses four powerful ingredients, which have been proven in published scientific studies to help accelerate fat loss and kick-start metabolism. We can’t pinpoint any talk of harmful side effects and dieter comments around the web indicate people are seeing solid results.

The makers of Leptigen are so sure about their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a positive sign.

How Does Detox 7 Compare?

Previous Detox 7 Review (Updated September 20, 2012):

What You Should Know

There are plenty of body cleansing treatments and colon detoxification supplements at your disposal these days. One of the countless products out there that's claimed to improve your overall health by flushing out the digestive tract is Detox 7, otherwise known as the "internal body cleanser." Unlike many other similar supplements, this one is available in common drugstores like Walgreens. Essentially Detox 7 is a two step system that's used over a seven day period. It comes with seven multi fiber packets and 30 "herbal blend" caplets that aim to cleanse and revitalize the entire body. Not only is this supplement formula claimed to detoxify the system, but it's also supposed to energize the user, while aiding with weight loss.

The major active component found in Detox 7 is Fiber. This is what comes in the packets, which are consumed during the morning to potentially aid with healthy digestion. The caplets are then taken at nighttime before bed, and offer an array of herbs (a proprietary blend). Detox 7 does not contain preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. As with many other weight loss/cleansing supplements, this product is not geared toward those under the age of 18, nor is it suitable for women who're pregnant/nursing. Individuals taking a medication should consult a doctor before consuming Detox 7 supplements.

Ingredients

Fiber, Dandelion Root and Leaf Extract, Burdock Root Extract, Licorice Root Extract Glycyrrhiza Glabra, Oregon Grape Bark Extract, Yarrow Aerial Parts Extract, Garlic Bulb Extract, Prickly Ash Seed Extract, Red Clover Herb Extract, Milk Thistle Seed Extract, Alfalfa, Maltodextrin, Cellulose, Glucose, Stearic Acid, Dicalcium Phosphate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide, Proprietary Blend, Psylium Seed Husks, Inulin, Probiotics, Maltodextrin, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, Marshmallow Root, Barley Grass, Spirulina, Chlorella, Wheat Grass, Papain, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, Stevia Leaf, Slippery Elm Bark, Echinacea Angustifolia Root Extract, Shepard's Purse Herb, Wild Yam Root, Kelp Powder Fucus Vesiculosus, Prune Powder Prunus Domestica, Grape Seed Extract, Maltodextrin, Natural Orange Flavor, Citric Acid, and Silica.

Product Features

Detox 7 is a cleansing formula that aims to assist with detoxifying the body, weight reduction, and increased energy. While there doesn't appear to be an official website for this supplement, it can be viewed on drugstore websites like Walgreens.com. Although there is no clinical research posted for the Detox 7 system, there are a number of consumer reviews offered on the Walgreens website. A common side effect that comes with this dietary supplement is headache. Detox 7 can be purchased in many common drugstores or simply online for $11.99. As opposed to a number of other cleansing formulas, this product only lasts for seven days.

See Our Featured

Advantages

  • Detox 7 can be acquired from common drugstores like Walgreens, as well as online.
  • The only revealed side effect that applies to this body cleansing supplement is a headache.

Disadvantages

  • There are no proven fat burning ingredients found in Detox 7.
  • This detoxification formula is not suitable for those under the age of 18.
  • Women who're pregnant or nursing should not take Detox 7.
  • This supplement will not assist with thermogenesis.

Conclusion

As specified online, Detox 7 is really more of a cleaning formula for the digestive tract, than it is a weight loss product. While it may assist some users with cleaning out their intestines/colon since it contains fiber, this product will unlikely be effective for long term weight loss, or even fat reduction. After all, there are no major fat burning or appetite suppressing ingredients incorporated into it.

I’m on probation and have been clean for several months now, but I thought I’d try this as a kind of reset for my body. I’m on day three now and have had these weird headaches. I’m hoping that’s just the product working, but I was a little upset that the headache warning wasn’t written on the box in bold letters. I’m going to try drinking a lot more water today and post my results throughout finishing the product

well, after day 3 I had to quit this product. I already missed 2 days of work because of these ridiculous headaches. I felt like I wanted to shove a knife in head it hurt so bad. The fever was so intense, i couldn’t even move from my bed. After doing some research, I found out that the headaches mean that it’s working, but I never expected this much pain. It literally feels like I fell off a building, and then got beat up by a gorilla. My whole body hurts like crazy and my skin is super itchy. I had no idea this product would do this to me. It said it was going to gently cleanse my body, not make me shake uncontrollably. I’m not saying this is a bad product, but I just wasn’t ready for this. If you’re going to try it, make sure you have a week or two to follow through with it. I can’t keep missing work, but if a get a week or two off I might try it again. And yes, I drank a whole bunch of water and green tea, didn’t do much. But reading about detoxes, all the medical studies state that the worse you feel during detox, the better you’ll feel after. All I know is right now I feel like I’m dying, but once again, that just means it’s working. Be careful

Urine test… works well in 6-7 days. Also helps to sweat in a sauna too. I bought my own home test to make sure it worked before the real thing. It’s legit.

I’ve used this product several times and like it. While it is not a “miracle” weight loss supplement, it does a good job of cleaning you out. You have to use it the entire seven days. It does make me feel bloated and a little nauseated but I sleep much better and feel much better after the seven days.

Well, I’m on day 4 and all I’ve had were mild headaches. I’m giving it the full 7.
As far as enough of the pills, there are…you just have to follow the guidelines, they increase as the week goes on.
And you have to drink enough water, that in itself is a good lesson/habit to learn.
I think individual experiences will depend on how toxic your system is to start. I eat relatively healthy, so I think that’s why I’m not getting ‘side effects’.
And urine should be clear 🙂 that shows that you are taking in enough water during the day. If it’s yellow…drink more water!

    [Reply]

    Katie

Well, I finished all 7 days. Lost 2 pounds, but that was a bonus. I really wanted to feel better and I do. Not so tired etc. And I’m also now on a daily vitamin, so that should keep the pep in my step. Now to pay more attention to what I’m eating and drop some pounds before the holidays tax them on 🙂

Im 30 and have had healthy BMs for as long as I can remember but spending 8 years working around chemicals and then 1 year of a horrible diet I decided to do a Detox. Deciding to try a less expensive brand – I tried this. Took six days to start working. Made me constipated and gassy. And dont blame it on “not drinking enough water”. Im a big guy but using their formula, Id need to drink 224oz a day! Im a BIG guy but OMG! After the 2nd day doing 128oz a day, I was urinating water almost as clear as Dasani! This is a gimmick cleanser. If youre healthy, it’ll probably clean you out over the weekend. But if youre looking for a GOOD Detox, or your first, this product is cheap and not for you.

a lot of people are saying bad things about this product but my question is … did you drink enough water?…. you have to drinks a lot of it especially if your over weight if you are over 200lbs you need to drink almost 100 ounces of water were talking 3 liters of water i could understand how it would make people sick if it is dehydrating you and most of the side effects sound as though you were dehydrated i started it today i will let you know the out come 🙂

I agree. I have been taking it for almost 3 days and I have felt energized (which I didn’t realize it was supposed to do) and have been eating less (which I’m glad it did). Also, I do drink a lot of water and I have had no problems with any of these negative side effects.

I went out and bought Detox7 because I have a wedding in about 2 months and I thought it would be a good idea to start fresh if you know what I mean LOL. I just took the powder in water this morning and started to feel weird so I found this site and Im glad I did! I unfortunatly made myself get rid of what I had already ingested and Im hoping just that little bit wont make me sick. Im suprised because the box says a million times over and over “this is not a laxitive”… Oh well, it will be going back to walmart asap! Thanks everyone, only with I would have read this befor I started feeling sick!!!

I don’t think this product would help rid your body of toxins (TBC and the like) since it’s primarily cleaning your digestive tract…..BUT, who knows…..it all depends on how much you smoke, when you are getting tested, and how you are getting tested.

If you get a hair folicle, you’re out of luck 😛

I started taking this stuff Monday morning and by Monday evening I was bloated, had headaches, suffering from fever and chills, diarrhea, so tired I couldn’t function for several days. On day 2 I took 1 more dosage to give it a fair chance. That was my last dose although the misery continued with stabbing pains to my stomach, increased headaches which caused blurred vision, I was dizzy and could barely stand w/o support. I ached from head to toe and could barely stay away for more than an hour at a time before passing out and waking up soaked in sweat. My last dosage was 3 days ago and I am still suffering from headaches, lack of appetite and diarrhea. Use with extreme caution…everybody is a little different. I believe my case is extreme and probably not the norm.

surprisingly, this is actually the detox “doing it’s job” – the headache, chills, and “diarrhea” is your system getting “flushed”….

I don’t know if I can totally agree with this “Review” though….it’s not _only_ that fiber packet, taking once daily (in the AM…) that is the Main component…..sure, it does help bulk up what’s in your intestines, but the pill formulation also contains probiotics that help clean up your colon and digestive tract.

As far as this product helping with a UA (marijuana…) – highly unlikely 🙂 but eh, never know – I’d say add some cranberry juice into the mix for safe precaution 😛 Cranberry has acid that helps break down impurities in your urine and such….

I just finished trying Detox 7 to feel less bloated after the holidays. First of all, there weren’t enough caplets in the bottle to follow the 7-day plan. Second, even after using, and exercising daily, I felt no different then before taking the detox. I think I wasted $12.00, but at least it wasn’t $112.00!
