Diuretic Extreme Review
What You Should Know
Diuretic Extreme is not your average weight loss supplement. The ingredient list shows multiple diuretics, thus the product name. Diuretics are used in the bodybuilding community to reduce water retention after a cycle of bulking with creatine. There are also reports of diuretic use and overuse before competition to reduce the space between the skin and muscle to make the athlete look ripped. Multiple bodybuilders have died due to the side effects of using diuretics. At NO time should the average dieter take diuretics for an extended time without doctor supervision. Diuretics increase the workload of the kidneys and can cause kidney damage. Patients taking prescription diuretics, even mild varieties, are required to have kidney tests frequently to assess organ health.
List of Ingredients
- Vitamin B6
- Taraxacum Officinale Extract
- Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi
- Green Tea Extract
- Potassium Gluconate
- Caffeine Anhydrous
There are multiple reasons to take a diuretic. Women take diuretics to reduce bloating during their menstrual cycle. Athletes attempt to counteract the effect of creatine by taking a round of diuretics and more. Dieters, however, have no reason to take a diuretic to increase weight loss. Diuretics cause a temporary loss of water or fluid. This fluid, or at least some of the fluid, will return to the body when the supplementation stops and water intake returns. You are fooling the scale into showing weight loss that is not real.
We like the fact that Diuretic Extreme includes caffeine and green tea, but not in conjunction with the diuretic ingredients uva ursi and taraxacum (dandelion root). Stimulants also cause diuretic side effects so the dieter is just compounding the water loss problem.
Potassium loss will occur when taking Diuretic Extreme. This supplement contains potassium for that reason, but supplemental potassium is not the same as naturally consumed potassium – so you may want to increase intake of potassium-rich foods.
- Green Tea and Caffeine are included in the product.
- The product could potentially produce minimal amounts of weight loss.
- The product pulls water from the body.
- After hydration, the dieter could potentially regain the weight lost.
When you want to lose weight you want that weight to stay off. Diuretic Extreme is not going to make that happen. This product is a diuretic that will cause water loss. The addition of a couple of proven weight loss ingredients dose not reduce the risk of side effects and potentially long-term problems after taking this product. There is potassium in the mix, so the potassium you lose due to frequent urination is replaced, but if you abuse this product it could lead to kidney failure and death.
