The DotFit Me fitness program is an online diet support system with fitness and diet menu information. According to the official website, the fitness portion of the website is brought to dieters by the National Academy of Sports Medicine with menu support from CalorieKing. The dieter can access this information free on the Internet if desired without joining the DotFit Me program. DotFit Me requires a monthly subscription feed with various levels of cost. Higher cost plans offer additional features and improved access to weight loss tools.

Product Features

Dieters who join the DotFit Me program gain access to menus, a food database, food logs, calorie target tracker and the ability to adjust menus to personal taste. Members also have access to other DotFit merchandise at a discounted price. While fitness plans come as part of the DotFit Me program, there is an extra program for phone fitness and weight loss coaching available for an additional cost. Phone coaching prices range from $99.95 for four phone calls to $199.95 for 10 phone calls.

The DotFit Me program costs $29.95 for one month of access and $9.95 for each additional month. You can also choose to join the DotFit Me Exerspy club. This membership comes with an Exerspy armband, a DotFit complete kit and one year of support at $14.95 per month. Dieters are expected to pay $119.95 up front for the DotFit Me Exerspy club.

There is nothing on the official website that supports paying for a monthly membership. The Exerspy club costs about as much as a membership to a local gym with a yearly cost of $299.35. This cost is for Internet access to the DotFit Me program only. Internet support is available from many websites for free and thus most dieters will not feel the money is well spent on the DotFit program.

  • Detailed website with easy access to weight loss and fitness tools.

  • The cost is higher than other fitness and weight loss websites.
  • The Exerspy club costs as much, or more, than a local gym membership.
  • Dieters are not given any free option for limited access.
  • The pay-as-you-go membership still costs more than many diet websites.
  • There are only two testimonials and one credits intense workouts and portion control for weight loss.

We could find no real advantage to paying for access to the DotFit Me website. The tools available through DotFit Me are also available from other major dieting websites for free. This means a dieter can take advantage of menus, fitness instruction and more with no up-front cost while DotFit Me continues to charge up to $300 for the same tools.
