Several studies have shown its chemical properties, which are unique to the plant, help regulate digestion, making it a suitable and natural remedy for digestive issues. There is also some evidence it may reduce the symptoms of alcohol hangover due to how it binds to the chemicals that contribute to hangover symptoms. This may be why DuoLean claims NeOpuntia binds and destroys fat, although this is simply not true. No studies have shown it can produce this effect.
