Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid is no different from many other CLA supplements marketing Tonalin as the main ingredient. When CLA became popular, experts in weight loss and bodybuilding claimed it was the secret ingredient to increase fat metabolism and fat burn. Researchers have since disproved most of these claims and some have even found serious side effects linked to products like Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid.

List of Ingredients

CLA Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, and Stearic Acid.

Product Features

Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid does not offer any spectacular evidence to convince the dieter that this product will be any different from other CLA supplements. The product contains 1,000 mg of CLA and sells for $27.99 per 90-count bottle. One bottle lasts 30 days at the suggested usage is one capsule, three times a day. That is a total of 3,000 mg of CLA per day.

While Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid is not unique, the effects of CLA on the body are. CLA can be found in foods like dairy products and meats. When consumed naturally, there are no known side effects, but when synthetically developed for supplements, the isomers are different and the body reacts differently. Reported side effects from taking CLA include hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), low good cholesterol, allergic reaction, diarrhea, indigestion, and heartburn.

The weight loss claims have been studied and restudied and researchers have come up with some positive benefits. Over the course of a year, using CLA can lead to weight loss of two to four pounds. There is also a bit of evidence linking CLA to reduced risk of breast cancer, but the effect is minimal, at best. Natural holistic therapists believe this record to be the same as being ineffective when there are natural options to increase weight loss and decrease risk of cancer that work better in the body without risk of side effects.

Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid does not offer a free trial or guarantee for their product. With no support for claims and no free trial, consumers are left purchasing the product in hopes it will increase weight loss. If not, the money is lost. We tend to support weight loss supplements that support themselves.

  • Weight loss will be minimal.
  • Potential side effects could be serious.
  • More expensive than other Tonalin products.

Dymatize Conjugated Linoleic Acid is not a flashy supplement used by MMA fighters, like other Dymatize products. Instead, the company offers the same Tonalin that other CLA supplements are made of and a regurgitated description of what CLA offers. We find no evidence that CLA is worth the time or money when taken as a standalone product.
