What You Should Know
E-911 is an LG Sciences energy supplement. Energy supplements are typically used during bodybuilding workouts to increase pumps and help the bodybuilder last through a workout. This supplement could be used as a fat burner because stimulant ingredients increase heart rate and metabolism. Ingredients are included as part of a proprietary blend which makes it hard to determine whether they will be effective for fat loss.
List of Ingredients
E-911 Complex: Caffeine, Geranium Oil Extract, Cyclodextrin, Synephrine HCL, Hordenine, Lecithin, Chitosan, Acacia Seed Extract.
Caffeine is the first ingredient in the 220 mg proprietary blend. The fact that the blend is only 220 mg as a whole means there is probably less caffeine than most energy supplements and fat burners. This is not necessarily a bad thing if the other ingredients work with the body to stimulate energy or burn more fat.
Geranium Oil Extract is supposed to work in the body like adrenaline and is thus another stimulant. According to ingredient descriptions across the Internet, bodybuilders typically use geranium oil to mobilize fat and increase metabolism during the cutting phase of a bodybuilding cycle. Dieters may find an extra punch of energy when using the product thanks to this ingredient.
Cyclodextrin is a form of sugar that may bind to fat. Clinical studies refer to this ingredient as a “new fiber” claiming rat studies showed significant weight loss when rats were fed a high fat diet and cyclodextrin. No human studies could be found.
Synephrine is a stimulant related to Ephedra without the weight loss impact. Nearly every fat burner contains this ingredient today, but research simply does not support the claims of increased weight loss. Hordenine is a stimulant that promotes the release of norepinephrine.
Chitosan is derived from shell-fish and is typically used as a fat binder. There is some clinical evidence that chitosan could increase weight loss but that does not mean it will increase energy and E-911 is an energy supplement.
E-911 sells for $27.99 from the official LG Sciences website.
- The supplement will increase energy.
- Caffeine is proven to burn more fat.
- Chitosan has some positive clinical studies.
- Multiple stimulants could be too strong for some dieters.
Energy supplements typically have tons of caffeine and not much else. This supplement does not show the dieter or bodybuilder how much caffeine is included in the supplement and thus it is hard to gauge whether the ingredients will truly do as claimed. We support using caffeine to boost metabolism and energy during dieting and weight loss when fatigue is a problem. However, we also like to know what the dieter is taking and E-911 falls short in that regard.
