EAS HMB Review
What You Should Know
EAS HMB is a bodybuilding supplement produced by EAS, a bodybuilding supplement company endorsed by several athletes, including American football star Matt Hasselbeck. EAS HMB contains one ingredient, an amino acid called beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (abbreviated as HMB), which is claimed to increase lean muscle mass due to how it repairs and increases muscle tissue after a weight-training workout. It is specifically stated it is meant for use while on an exercise program, and may not offer any benefits for other types of uses.
EAS HMB, which may be purchased in supplement stores or online, is currently available for $39.99 per 200 capsule bottle, costing as low as $0.20 per day to use. This makes EAS HMB one of the cheapest bodybuilding supplements available for use. Since its introduction into the market numerous bodybuilders have used the product and have offered their own opinions about the substance — current testimonials rave about the effectiveness of the product. Some evidence, as reported by several health journals, seem to support this, but this does not necessarily indicate an effective product.
EAS HMB contains Calcium, Potassium, and Calcium B-Hydroxy B-Methylbutryrate.
HMB, the main ingredient in EAS HMB, first reached national status in 1996 when it was reported that athletes in the Olympics used HMB to increase muscle gain and endurance in preparation for the Olympic trials. Several studies have been conducted since this time, but only one study has been conducted on humans. The results from that study are inconclusive, and there was not enough evidence to confirm it helped dramatically increase lean muscle mass when combined with an intensive workout routine.
Several animal studies have shown some noticeable results, however. Scientists have been able to isolate several benefits, which include increasing muscle repair time and muscle gain, due to how to prevents protein breakdown in muscle tissue. These effects have not been replicated in humans, and this is still an issue yet to be addressed. Further studies may be able to determine if there are any benefits for humans. EAS HMB does openly state that HMB will dramatically increase these gains, but without further evidence to support this, this cannot be legitimately confirmed.
- Contains only a few ingredients with no known side effects.
- Is extremely inexpensive, considering the volume included in each bottle.
- The cited benefits of HMB have only been confirmed in animal studies.
- Does not contain ingredients that promote any thermogenic effects.
- Only claims to promote muscle mass, and its effects are limited.
EAS HMB is a uniquely formulated product that utilizes a single amino acid to promote muscle gain in bodybuilders, but actual studies do not support these claims — at least according to human trials. There does not appear to be any side effects connected with HMB, however, and the price of EAS HMB is very affordable.
