Eat Right 4 Your Type is a diet program that is based on your individual blood type. This system is suitable for both women and men. It was created by one Dr. Peter D’Adamo. Eat Right 4 Your Type focuses on the “biochemical uniqueness” of each dieter. Overall, this program is supposed to assist users with achieving a healthy weight and lifestyle. While the Eat Right 4 Your Type diet plan is a book that sells for $24.95, there are additional oral supplements offered on the official website 4yourtype.com.

Basically the Eat Right 4 Your Type program can be broken down into four different categories, which are Right 4 Type A, Right 4 Type B, Right 4 Type O and Right for Type AB. There are supplements that apply to each separate category, such as Polyvite A (nutritional supplement) for the blood type A category, Polyflora B (balances bacteria within the body) for the blood type B category, Protein Blend O (offers healthy protein for muscle growth and repair) for the blood type O category and Deflect AB (blocks out dietary lectins) for the blood type AB category. There do not appear to be any customer testimonials provided on the official website. It’s difficult to determine whether or not a particular fitness regimen is encouraged with the Eat Right 4 Your Type program. Unfortunately there are no free trial samples of Eat Right 4 Your Type supplements offered through the official website. There isn’t a 100% money-back guarantee posted on the website for the supplements or book.

Conclusion

The Eat Right 4 Your Type diet program is definitely a unique one, considering what it entails. There probably aren’t too many other weight management systems that are based around the dieter’s blood type. However, it seems that this diet is more of a health plan that focuses on overall nutrition and lifestyle than it is a weight loss program. In the end, it would be nice to see some actual clinical evidence to support Eat Right 4 Your Type, in addition to some money-back guarantees, customer testimonials and free trial samples of the supplements offered. It’s probably a good idea to consult your physician about Eat Right 4 Your Type prior to getting started with it.

    My testimony and a ????
B4 getting on the diet for type”A”, (my blood type A positive)my stomach was always upset no matter what I ate. I was constantly having to use the bathroom. I ate alot of beef and chicken. I have been on the diet for five days now, my focus is much better, I have more energy, but my stomach is still upset, granted not as bad. However, instead of having the use the bathroom, I find myself constapated. I drink alot of water everyday, in fact that’s all I drink because my body does not do well with sugar. I want to stay on the diet, but I would rather be using the bathroom then not being able to. Has anyone else find they have or had the same problems, if so what did you do to help yourself.

Scott, sounds like you’re not getting enough fiber. We need 25-35 grams daily.

HI Scott, I am a nutrition and I put everyone on the blood type because it works. You may need a little extra hydrochloric acid to digest your protein. Blood type A’s typically don’t have a lot. I
would try some magnesium for the constipation. 3 tsp. of Peter Gillian’s CALM works wonders! You can get it at any health food store. Good luck! Kelly

I am curious as to what does it mean to be a secretor or non-secretor? Also, I purchased the book and I can do this, its not hard. I have been feeling better. I have to order another book because I gave it away to help my cousin and by the way has lost 8lbs and feeling good.

Hello. I am in the health care industry and would like a couple of questions answered if you could.
    1. Why is Soy recommended at all and in the research I have read Whole Soy Storyby Kaayla Daniel.PHD,CCN. That shows Soy is not a food choice.
    2. Canola Oil.. That is a petrochemical only recommended for Carseg Disel ..
    3. YOu do not recommend Coconut or its Oils. Please update your recommendations. The research has been done and it is a safe and beneficial Oil.
YOur book came out in 1989…. So much has been done in these recommendations and when I suggest my clients use your book as a guide I need to give updated research on the subjects mentioned.
Dr Bruce Fife on Miracle of Coconut Oil is worth the read.
I await your response with thanks.Lois Debney

I have been on the eat right for your blood type for the past ten years but I cant seem to loose my belly fat. I walk(vigorous) 5miles six days of the week but it is still there. I am frustrated because I know I am healthy but the belly fat.

For belly fat I would suggest you get a Jane Fonda exercise CD. I don’t know how old you are but even if you don’t do anything but her waist and stomach exercises they are good for you even if you don’t like Jane her work outs are totally awsome. I don’t have a lot of time for working out so I just do her waist and stomach work outs and it has made a big difference. I have lost 9lbs. and dropped one size so far. Good Luck!

Let me rephrase my previous comments. Before starting the blood type diet, I found that all the foods I had been eating were on the avoid list and that’s why I always felt sick (stomach ache) and always felt sluggish.

I have been on the diet for O blood type for over 3 weeks and I, also, am amazed. The foods on my avoid list used to be the bulk of my diet! It has taken a while to develop a system to have the right foods avaialble, but I feel great, am eating fresh foods and avoiding processed foods as well as dairy and wheat. Amazing! I have lost close to 5 pounds. I would love to hear about other peoples successes and comments.

I have used this diet and it REALLY works! I ate only the foods on the list and ate as much of it as I wanted. I am a type A and found that all the foods I ate were on the avoid list. I actually get tired of eating during my meal because I just don’t fill up. I wind up eating several times a day.
