What You Should Know
Effer-Thin is an effervescent tablet the dieter places in water to create a weight loss drink. The drink has no sugar, no carbohydrates, no fat and no calories – ideal for dieting. The company markets the drink as an energy drink so there is likely a good kick of caffeine in that little effervescent tablet. There is no mention of tablet size, but we assume the tablet is small enough to fit into the top of the average water bottle. The dieter must wait for the tablet to dissolve before drinking.
List of Ingredients
Proprietary Blend: Caffeine, Garcinia Cambogia Extract, Taurine, Hoodia Gordonii Extract, Green Coffee Bean Extract, EGCG, Pomegranate Extract and Blueberry Extract. 120 mg of caffeine per tablet.
The ingredient list starts off as we expected, with caffeine. There are 120 mg of caffeine per serving. This is equivalent to about two cups of weak coffee or one cup of strong coffee. If the dieter take 30 to 45 minutes to drink one bottle of water the effect will likely be far less stimulating than it would be if they drank the entire bottle at one time. The tablet could be dissolved in less water to create a faster effect.
Garcinia cambogia is supposed to boost metabolism, but it may be linked with liver failure. Hydroxycut pulled all products containing this ingredient because of liver damage claims. New Hydroxycut products do not contain garcinia Cambogia.
Hoodia is included as an appetite suppressant, but clinical research proves this ingredient does not suppress appetite. P57 is the active ingredient. When taken orally, the body digests the P57 and metabolizes it so fast it has no effect.
Coffee bean extract is another source of caffeine. This is the ingredient Hydroxycut used to replace garcinia cambogia. There are studies supporting a boost in metabolism. The fruit extracts are a source of healthy antioxidants, but these will not increase metabolism or weight loss.
There is no pricing information listed on the official Effer-Thin website. The dieter has no idea where to purchase the product and it is not listed for sale on the website.
