What You Should Know
EliteZyme is a product manufactured by Thropp’s Nutrition out of Allegany, NY. The company offers a website laden with information on healthy eating and the effect of enzymes on digestion, health and weight. The amount of information may be a bit overpowering for some consumers, but essentially the website is promoting the reasons why EliteZyme is a good product to purchase. Along with information on the product, Thropp’s Nutrition offers contact information for United States, Canada and International buyers.
List of Ingredients
Protease, Acid Stable Protease, Bromelain, Papain, Amylase, Amyloglucosidase, Malt Diastase, Lipase, Lactase, Alpha Galactosidase, Cellulase, Hemicellulase, Invertase, Phytase, Pectinase and Ionic Trace Minerals with Alfalfa.
EliteZyme is a supplement that can be used to boost digestive enzymes in the body. According to Thropp’s Nutrition, when foods are cooked or processed the digestive enzymes are killed off and the body is left to fight through the digestive process without these essential enzymes. If foods are not digested properly, the body is unable to absorb the nutrients and vitamins it needs to work properly. This is some of the same reasoning why colon cleansers are considered healthy and effective in weight loss programs. Without proper digestive function, the colon becomes lax and food is stored until absorption is complete.
In terms of weight loss, however, neither EliteZymes nor colon cleansers have much to stand on. Food digestion is a natural process and when healthy foods are eaten, most digestive ills are solved naturally. EliteZyme does go one step further in terms of its claimed effect on weight loss. According to Thropp’s Nutrition, a diet lacking in lipase may be the cause of obesity and obesity related disease. The website claims health professionals have made this claim but no links to these “professionals” is given. Lipase, such as the ingredient listed in EliteZyme, can be stored by the liver for use later to digest stored fat.
EliteZyme is sold in two varieties. The EliteZyme Pro sells for $57.00 per 270 capsules. EliteZyme Ultra sells for $20.00 per 90 capsules which is considered a one month supply.
