EPH Hardcore Review
What You Should Know
EPH Hardcore is an ephedra fat burner that claims to contain the same ingredient banned by the Food and Drug Administration for use in diet supplements. Ephedra is still sold over the counter, but buyers must present a valid ID to make a purchase. Purchases are tracked and regulated through pharmacies, so this supplement cannot legally contain real ephedra.
Ephedra is a dangerous supplement ingredient that increases heart rate, increases blood pressure and could increase the risk of death with prolonged use.
List of Ingredients
- Guarana Seed Extract
- Sida Cordifolia Extract
- Bitter Orange
- White Willow Bark
- Ginger Root
- Acetyl L-Carnitine
- Green Tea Extract
The first three ingredients in EPH Hardcore are stimulants. Guarana seed and bitter orange are legal for use in diet supplements, but Sida Cordifolia, which is standardized to 10 mg of ephedra, is not. Typically, ephedra is combined with another stimulant to prolong the fat burning effect. In this case, the guarana is likely standardized for caffeine for this purpose.
White willow bark is the third and final ingredient in a classic ECA stack. ECA stands for ephedra, caffeine and aspirin. White willow bark is the aspirin. When ephedra was legal, the ECA stack was the more effective, proven fat burning combination on the market.
L-tyrosine is included in this supplement to counteract the effects of multiple stimulants. L-tyrosine naturally reduces blood pressure. One of the main side effects of taking ephedra and other stimulants is increased blood pressure.
- Ingredients for EPH Hardcore are listed online.
- Contains green tea and caffeine.
- Will likely increase metabolism and weight loss.
- Contains ephedra – illegal for use in diet supplements in the United States.
- May cause increased blood pressure and other negative side effects.
EPH Hardcore is truly a hardcore supplement. While it contains less ephedra than some popular fat burners sold when ephedra was legal, it still contains an illegal ingredient. We suggest using a fat burner with proven safe ingredients, not a fat burner with ephedra that could cause negative side effects, including increased risk of death.
