Ergoshred is one of the highest rated fat burners on Bodybuilding.com. We were shocked to see the rating of 9.6 out of 10, but that is only with 20 reviews thus far. There is a chance those reviews are not authentic, but at least a few should be from people who’ve actually tried the supplement and gained good results.

The ingredient list for Ergoshred is not as spectacular as the reviews. We see caffeine and some other common ingredients thrown together with no appetite suppressant – so what makes this product better than others? We’ll have to take a look at the ingredients and reviews to see.

List of Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • Calcium
  • Propionyl-L-Carnitine
  • Quercetin
  • B-Phenylethylamine HCL
  • Caffeine Anhydrous
  • N-Methyltyramine HCL
  • Capsimax
  • Zingerone
  • Bioperine

Product Features

We’re going to review this supplement a little backward. The label states the dieter can take up to four capsules (200 mg of caffeine) twice a day, but it also says the dieter should not take more than six capsules every 24 hours. Those two statements contradict each other. Four capsules twice a day is eight capsules – not six.

The ingredient list is not spectacular, by any means. You got 100 mg of caffeine per two capsules so you can take up to 200 mg per dose. That is too much for most dieters, but they can kick it back to 100 mg, which is much more appropriate for weight loss.

There is also a bit of phenylethylamine. This ingredient will help the dieter feel better about dieting by improving mood, but therein is the problem. Not all dieters can take phenylethylamine. The warning label states that dieters with psychiatric disorders, anxiety or depression shouldn’t take Ergoshred.

The reviews are great, but you have to take into consideration who is using the product. Many of the reviews are from bodybuilders who use Ergoshred with other caffeinated supplements. They take in excess of 300 to 500 mg of caffeine in one sitting – that is far more than any dieter should ever take for weight loss. We did not find a single review from a person having taken Ergoshred for weight loss and lost the weight they wanted to lose.

Advantages

  • May improve metabolism and reduce hunger with caffeine-based appetite suppression.
  • Contains enough caffeine to increase energy and boost weight loss.
  • Ergoshred can be used with other supplements to increase caffeine intake and energy.

Disadvantages

  • The Ergoshred label offers conflicting dosage instructions.
  • The ingredients are no more spectacular than other fat burning supplements.

Conclusion

Ergoshred is just another fat burner with great reviews and no real clinical support. Some of the ingredients are proven to boost metabolism and others are unsafe for dieters with medical conditions. This is a supplement you’ll have to try to see if the reviews are hype or justified.
