Genceutic Naturals BCM-95 Curcumin Review
What You Should Know
Clinical evidence recently linked curcumin to weight loss. Studies show curcumin may stop the production of blood vessel in fat cells. This, theoretically, causes reduced blood flow to fat and eventual death of the fat cell. BCM-95 Curcumin from Genceutic Naturals is derived from Turmeric. The supplement is produced without chemicals of any kind. In addition to potentially increasing weight loss, curcumin may also help fight inflammation. Being overweight or obese means the body is living in a constant state of inflammation.
List of Ingredients
There is no ingredient label published for BCM-95 Curcumin. We do know there is 250 mg of curcumin in the supplement, but we have no idea how many times per day the supplement should be taken. The clinical study backing claims of increased weight loss when taking curcumin involved lab rats. When two groups of lab rats were given the same high-fat diet, the rats taking curcumin gained weight slower than rats without curcumin supplementation. They also had less total body fat at the end of the study. While the study sparks thought, there is no known connection between curcumin and human weight loss.
Experts suggest taking curcumin as part of a healthy diet and exercise program in the case it does help reduce total body fat. Dieters can do this by purchasing supplements like BCM-95 Curcumin or they can simply change out mayonnaise and salad dressings for mustard. The yellow color of mustard is caused by curcumin. Mustard is far less expensive than curcumin supplements.
Additional studies are currently being completed to test the effectiveness of curcumin on cancer and other diseases. Many of these studies are still in the animal stages of clinical trials.
Genceutic Naturals does not link curcumin to weight loss. They do, however, link the supplement to reduced inflammation. Living overweight is the same as living in a constant state of inflammation. Inflammation can cause pain and taking curcumin may reduce that inflammation. Again, it is found in mustard so there is really no need for supplementation.
Genceutic Naturals BCM-95 Curcumin sells for $29.99 per bottle – much more expensive than a jar of yellow mustard.

Animal studies must be completed in order for human studies to begin, on every natural supplement. The initial animal studies on curcumin prove the supplement reduces blood flow to fat cells, thus potentially causing death to those cells. If curcumin works this way in humans, eating more yellow mustard may be the key to weight loss.
