What You Should Know
iShot Skinny is an energy shot that claims to be different from other energy shots. The official website is really nothing more than a detailed product description and sales page. There are no testimonials or before and after photos for other dieters to use as a gauge. If the product works as claimed there would be testimonials to share.
There is an ingredient list, but not a detailed one with total amounts for each ingredient in the formula. We also found detailed instructions about how the supplement should be taken and a reference to an award the product almost won in 2012.
List of Ingredients
- Acai Berry
- Green Tea
- Bitter Orange
- L Carnitine
The ingredients in iShot Skinny are an interesting mixture of healthy and unhealthy. The acai berry is a strong antioxidant that many companies claim has weight loss effects, but there is no research supporting these claims. Acai berry will help the body naturally fight off free radical damage, but nothing more.
Green tea is an effective weight loss ingredient. There are clinical trials supporting the use of green tea for weight loss and metabolism boosting. Green tea is also associated with improved overall health. The only problem is that no total amount of green tea is listed and a total amount less than the clinically proven amount is worthless in terms of weight loss. Guarana is a source of caffeine. Bitter orange is a source of synephrine – a stimulant. Synephrine is known to cause negative side effects similar to those associated with ephedra. Chromium is the appetite suppressant.
The iShot Skinny website tells dieters that the supplement can only do so much. A healthy diet and exercise are needed to achieve and maintain fitness and weight loss. It also warns that the supplement is not safe for people with certain diseases or conditions, especially diabetes and heart conditions.

iShot Skinny is an energy shot/weight loss supplement. The dieter can take two bottles per day, before meals, and with diet and exercise may increase weight loss. We are not thrilled with the bitter orange or the fact that most of the ingredients are included in a proprietary blend, but we are happy with the total caffeine content and the addition of green tea.
