What You Should Know
Jenny Craig is a combination of Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem. Typically, dieters meet at a local Jenny Craig and weigh-in each week. During the meeting, they pick up meals for the following week. The Jenny Craig at Home service broadens the coverage area so dieters that don’t live near a Jenny Craig office or those who do not want to attend in person meetings, can order Jenny Craig food and check in online. In addition to the meals and check-in, the dieter receives a one-on-one personal call from a Jenny Craig representative once a week. Food is ordered in two-week or four-week increments. We assume the cost of food delivery includes the weekly personalized call as there are no other fees listed for the Jenny Craig at Home program.
List of Ingredients
Jenny Craig weight loss program with home meal delivery.
The Jenny Craig at Home weight loss system allows a dieter to follow the Jenny Craig plan without visiting a local Jenny Craig center. Meals are based on total calorie count allowed per day. A sample menu for the 1,200 calorie plan includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. The dieter must add fruits, vegetables and dairy to the meals delivered from Jenny Craig. Breakfast, for instance, may be a bowl of oat cereal (provided by Jenny Craig). The dieter has to add 1 fruit and 1 cup nonfat milk to the cereal to complete the meal. The Jenny Craig at Home service costs about $2.40 per day with shipping, but the dieter must still purchase food so the overall price is higher. Free foods are allowed three times a day. There is no list of free foods on the official Jenny Craig at Home website.
Before ordering Jenny Craig at Home, the dieter will need to talk with a Jenny Craig consultant. The consultant will help ascertain whether the dieter is fit for the Jenny Craig program. We have no idea what this process entails. A Jenny Craig member can transfer the “at Home” member to a “at Centre” membership as desired.
