Jillian Michaels 14 Day Cleanse And Burn Review
What You Should Know
When it comes to intense personal training, Jillian Michaels is the master. She is widely known as one of the trainers on the hit television show the Biggest Loser. In addition to workout DVDs, she formulates and sells a variety of supplements. The Jillian Michaels 14 Day Cleanse and Burn kit includes two supplements – Triple Process Total Body Detox & Cleanse Plus Probiotic Replenishment and Maximum Strength Fat Burner. The fat burner is a stimulant in every sense of the word and the detox and cleanse is a colon cleanser. Taking a colon cleanser with other supplements could reduce the effectiveness of the supplement as increased urination and bowel movements could wash the supplement out of the body before the ingredients are metabolized.
List of Ingredients
Maximum Strength Fat Burner: Blood Orange Extract, Grapefruit Extract, Guarana Extract, Sweet Orange Extract, Bitter Orange Extract, Coffee Extract, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Kola Extract, Cacao Extract, White Willow Bark Extract and Cayenne Pepper Powder.
Triple Process Total Body Detox & Cleanse Plus Probiotic Replenishment: Detox & Cleanse – Magnesium. Proprietary Blend – Irish Moss Powder, Ginger Root Powder, Dandelion Powder, Buckthorn Powder, Butternut Powder, Garlic Powder, Uva Ursi Powder, Yarrow Powder, Chinese Rhubarb. Probiotic Proprietary Blend – Bacillus Coagulans, Irish Moss Powder, Fenugreek Powder, Fennel Seed Powder, Galactomannan, Antioxidant Fruit Blend (Wild Blueberry Extract, Grape Extract, Raspberry Extract, Cranberry Extract, Tart Cherry Extract, Wild Bilberry Extract and Strawberry Powder.)
The Maximum Strength Fat Burner in Jillian Michaels 14 Day Cleanse and Burn is packed with stimulants. Guarana, bitter orange, coffee, kola and cacao are all stimulants that contain caffeine or work like caffeine in the body. Each suggested dose contains 100 mg of caffeine and the dieter takes the supplement twice a day. This could be too much caffeine for dieters sensitive to stimulation and there is a warning on the Jillian Michael’s website to this effect. Dieters should not drink caffeine or take other supplements with caffeine while taking the fat burner.
The detox supplement contains magnesium, a natural laxative. Magnesium will increase bowel movements. In addition, there is dandelion root and uva ursi, both strong diuretics. Diuretics increase urination and pull water from the body. They do not stop pulling water when “extra” water is eliminated, so the dieter may suffer from dehydration, potassium loss and electrolyte imbalance when using this supplement.
The kit sells for $20 from the official website.
- Caffeine will boost metabolism.
- The price is lower than competitor products.
- Stimulants may cause negative side effects like shakiness and anxiety.
- Laxatives and diuretics are not safe for use as diet supplements.
- Not every dieter needs to cleanse and detox.
The Jillian Michaels 14 Day Cleanse and Burn is a combination of one colon cleanser and one stimulant supplement. Taken together, the dieter may experience negative side effects from one or more of the supplements.
