Kelly Bliss is a diet/nutrition/wellness coach who promotes her services online. Bliss calls herself a lifestyle coach and has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a “national leader in plus size fitness and wellness”. Bliss is also a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health and has been working as a personal fitness consultant since the early 1980s. Bliss has had her practicing master’s level in psychotherapy since 1987.
In 1991, Kelly Bliss founded Work It Out, Inc., which is a corporation that supports wellness and health for groups of people as well as individuals. In 1993 she became a wellness coach. In 2000 Kelly Bliss launched a plus size directory called the Plus Size Yellow Pages with over 3,000 resources for “living large in a small world”. The Yellow Pages included everything from apparel and accessories to activities and shopping for plus sized patrons. This book came out in paperback in 2007. Kelly Bliss and her directory have had spots on popular news shows on FOX, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and many more channels and radio stations.
There are several products available from books to video available through the official Kelly Bliss website or a variety of other sources including You Tube. For her clients, Bliss has created four workout DVD’s and VHS tapes to help aid in an exercise regime for overweight individuals. Understanding that many of these individuals may have mobility issues, Bliss created work outs that are doable for those who do not have the flexibility or range that is needed for a standard gym workout. She also has eating and weight management guides, eating workbooks and an online chat. She also has a profile on Facebook enabling existing or potential clients worldwide to correspond with her and ask specific questions. Bliss makes her phone consultation available to clients worldwide.
