What You Should Know
With the right set of ingredients, a natural supplement can boost metabolism and help a dieter reach weight loss goals. Ketogirl combines six ingredients in an attempt to do just that. The six ingredients are not the most effective and clinical trials do not support claims of increased fat burn and weight loss associated with the stimulant ingredient used in the formula. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of weight loss supplements that include ineffective ingredients. No matter how jittery a weight loss supplement makes a dieter feel, if the ingredients are not proven, there will be no weight loss.
List of Ingredients
Fucoxanthin, 7-Keto, Synephrine, Norepinephrine HCL, Evodiamine and Adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
Fucoxanthin is an extract from brown seaweed. The ingredient is supposed to stimulate thermogenin, which helps burn fat. Animal studies show promise for this ingredient, but only one small study has been completed on humans. In this study, women lost an average of 11 pounds in 16 weeks. The study did not involve men. The women were premenopausal and suffered from liver disease. There are no studies on healthy humans needing to lose weight.
Synephrine is similar to Ephedra, but it does not have the proven weight loss effects of its cousin. It does, however, have the same potential side effects. Increased heart rate, increased blood pressure and jitters are common when taking synephrine. People with heart disease or those having suffered a heart attack in the past should not take synephrine.
Norepinephrine HCL affects mood. Several prescription weight loss drugs have the same effect. Supposedly, the dieter that feels better about life will feel better about losing weight. This is a great idea, in theory, but dieters with a history of mental issues like depression and anxiety should not take this ingredient.
Ketogirl is no longer available for sale online. The product was linked with an auto-ship program. There were no diet or exercise suggestions included with the supplement. Supplements are powerful tools for weight loss, but they are useless without a reduced calorie diet and exercise plan.

Take a pill and lose 30 pounds that is the claim made by many weight loss supplements. Weight loss requires more than popping a pill. Not only does Ketogirl include ingredients without clinical support, it does not give the dieter the tools they need to lose weight. Dieters may wish to check out some proven weight loss supplements. Keep an eye out for green tea and chromium, two ingredients with clinical studies on humans.
