The manufacturers and distributors put the focus on the three sources of calcium in the product which are claimed to enhance the body’s ability to burn fat. We could not find a manufacturer’s website. Lean Balance can be ordered from a number of online health store sites.

The ingredients in Lean Balance consist of: Vitamin D, Calcium, Phosphorus, Chromium, Potassium, Trim source, and Source Call.

Product Features

The distributors of Lean Balance state that three capsules should be taken three times, between thirty to sixty minutes before meal time. A supply of 100 capsules is sold by third party web vendors for an average $40. One of the ingredients listed in the product is Trim Source, which consists of Garcinia Cambogia, Gymnema Sylvestre extract, Grape extract. Source Call is also listed. Source Call is a stimulant that consists of green tea extract, wheyn mineral complex, American Ginseng and Poliosanol.

It has been impossible for us to ascertain what is in the ingredient named “wheyn mineral complex” and we could find no other instances of its usage besides in Lean Balance. American Ginseng is certainly a well-known and scientifically tested herb that has been shown to result in some weight loss. American Ginseng is also a stimulant, but as there do not seem to be any other herbs with stimulant qualities this should not be a cause for concern.

We should point out that Poliosanol has been shown in scientific tests to increase the effect of medication which interferes with blood clotting, such as aspirin, and warfarin. It also increases the effect of levopoda which is taken by many people who have Parkinson’s. Polisanol can be taken to lower cholesterol, but scientific studies have shown conflicting results on its effectiveness. Anyone taking prescription medication should talk to a doctor before taking Lean Balance.

Conclusion

The distributors of this product focus on the fact that Lean Balance is a source of calcium and therefore has weigh loss effects. Calcium, however, is a product that can easily be obtained naturally from a well balanced diet, such as by eating yogurts, milk and cheese. Those who are taking aspirin or warfarin should not use Lean Balance, nor should anyone taking medication for Parkinson’s disease. Due to its possible effect on cholesterol in the body we would suggest anyone taking cholesterol-lowering drugs should seek advice from their physician before taking this product. We would also suggest that the manufacturers remove Policosanol from this product until more experimental standardized studies are carried out on this substance.
