LeanSpa claims dieters can lose three times more weight taking the supplement than they would with diet and exercise alone. The combo pack sold as a free trial is a bit deceptive. Included in the free trial is a body cleanser or detox supplement. No ingredients are listed for this supplement, but we can assume it contains some sort of diuretic, laxative or combination of both. During the free trial period, dieters may see temporary weight loss because of the detox and choose to keep the supplement. This weight loss will not last after the detox supplement is gone because it is often attributed to water loss, not fat loss.

List of Ingredients

Acai, Green Tea, Octopamine HCL, Caffeine, 5-Hydroxytryptophan, Garcinia Cambogia and Chromium.

Product Features

For just $1 plus shipping and handling, dieters can order the LeanSpa supplement. While the ingredients are listed on the official website, there are no ingredient amounts listed. The dieter must trust the company when they claim enough of an ingredient is included in the formula to stimulate weight loss. A detox supplement is also included with no ingredients listed on the LeanSpa website.

Acai is an antioxidant that has no connection with weight loss. The ingredient is featured in the description suggesting many major news affiliates support acai. This does not mean they support the ingredient for weight loss or as part of the LeanSpa supplement.

Green tea is a proven weight loss ingredient as are caffeine and chromium. We like that LeanSpa included these in the formula, but how much was included? Dieters have a long list of diet pills to choose from and without a complete ingredient list, LeanSpa may not be the most effective.

Testimonials on the website are supportive, but as is the case with any weight loss product, the dieters are not pictured holding the supplement are offering detailed information about how the supplement worked to help them lose weight.

See Our Featured Diet

Advantages

  • 30-Day Money Back Guarantee.
  • Ingredients are listed on the official website.
  • Chromium and green tea are proven weight loss ingredients.
  • Caffeine may increase calorie burn.

Disadvantages

  • After the 30-day trial, dieters are automatically charged $79.99 for the supplement.
  • Dieters must pay return shipping and handling charges.
  • An RMA number is required for returns.

Conclusion

We would not suggest using the LeanSpa supplement. There are no ingredient amounts listed and that is enough to turn away many dieters. The $79.99 price tag is a second reason not to try the LeanSpa supplement. Paying top dollar for a supplement must be accompanied with proven ingredients in proven amounts. Neither of these is offered by LeanSpa. The final blow is the detox supplement included with LeanSpa. There is a good chance this supplement is causing the fast weight loss than may last just long enough to convince the dieter to take the $79.99 charge.

I live in NJ, and I contacted Channel 7 (NY) On Your Side. They are currently investigating this scam, and it looks like the company will have a bit of answering to do. Will keep you all posted if I hear anything, but I suggest you keep your eyes peeled on the TV. You may be surprised at what you should be hearing and seeing in the news very soon. Good luck all, and stay away from LeanSpa. Plus, I had side effects from the pills (headaches)!

I sent it where they told me to send it along with the RMA #. I even sent it 10 days before they said the deadline was. I sent it to Milford,Ct 06460. If anyone else was told to send it to a different address PLEASE let me know. I would love to get these scammers back.

I wiah I had researched the company and their “free trial” more thoroughtly! All the comments/complaints above are true. Additional charges and shipments were made before the “trial” period was over. I canceled and the promised refund never materialized and I followed all the instructions on returning their product. The e-mailed cancellation letter sounded legit. Their e-mail address is unaccessible and you stay on hold indefinitly when you all the 888 number! Live and learn. Everyone is being so negative about the product. Has anyone even used it? I ordered my 30 day trial, and cancelled as soon as the product came in. Everything that everyone is bitching about is explained in the small print. If u don’t want to be charged 80 dollars then u have to cancelle within the first 14 days. If you are going to order something offline or through tv then read the fine print before doing so and quit complain cuz yhou got scammed when you really didn’t. You were just too dumb to read the fine print

    [Reply]

    amity

The total of both products were reserved from my account 10 days after I ordered, which is not “explained in the small print” (this came to my attention when my family went out to dinner and my card was declined). The funds were officially withdrawn on the 13th day. NOT at 11:59pm on the 14th day as “explained in the small print”, which I DID read thoroughly prior to ordering! I also have not received my refund, as promised. I am glad to hear your experience was not the same as mine and so many others, but don’t you DARE call me dumb when you have no idea what I did or did not read or the details of the situation! I WAS SCAMMED! I did everything as “explained in the small print”. My money was made unavailable to me 4 days prior to the trial period ending. The money was completely withdrawn a day early. I didn’t even receive one of the products until the trial period was over. I have a reason to bitch!

I to wish I had seen this website before I orderd. However, I had no problem getting a hold of someone in customer service. She pushed me to continue, but Iwas firm and said no, cancel my order. I then proceeded to call my credit card company and stop payment as well as cancel the account. I have not tried the product, nor did they ask for it back. As far as I can tell I also have not been charged for any extra payments

I’m not having a problem with this at all. I noted the 30 day charge and the 14 day window and wrote down the number to cancel right when I ordered. After reading these comments I called them right away (I still have till the end of this week left) and canceled the order, there was no wait and it was simply an automated message. The first option was cancel XD I was not however aware of the 20 dollar charge, despite that I decided to keep the product and use it in combination with exercise as it boosted my energy an INCREDIBLE amount the first day and prompted me to do two different workouts (which is something I hardly do). 20 bucks is worth motivation to me, and it does help speed up your digestion and metabolism because of the caffeine. It isn’t some miracle pill, you still have to work at it if you want to lose the weight but if you’re willing then it will definitely help you. I’m going to take 1 dose of the cleanse and the normal in the morning Thu-Sat because I did notice that if I took the pill later in the day I had trouble sleeping, that way I can work out on the weekends and let my body realign from the increased caffeine throughout the week. Just remember that if you take the recommended amounts you’ll be pumping 4 and a half cups of coffee into your system every day, so be careful.

I ordered the trial and only got it a week before I was charged the $79.99. I called in to protest since I hadn’t had a chance to start it. The person on the phone was very nice and said the advertisement wasn’t clear enough on that issue, and my money would be refunded in 3 -5 business days. It was refunded in 3 days.

My husband and I ordered the trial sample thinking it would be intersting to see how it worked. That was on 3/20. I have not yet received the product but have been charged the $4.95 and $79.99. I finally (after a total of 55 minutes on hold) spoke to a customer service rep who said the 79.99 was to hold the product and would not be charged until later, I told him it was already through my account. He gave me a RMA number to use once I receive the product. Believe me, I will be sending this back with a confirmation of receipt. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and contacted everyone I know. Definately a scam and false advertising! And I agree about the news station that promoted this…Shame on them!!!

I ordered it and then found this website. I immediately call the 800-839-9990 and spoke with a customer service rep after only 5 mins on hold. He cancelled my order and I received an email stating that it was cancelled before I hang up with him. He said I would not be charged nor would the product ship. I then replyed to the original confirmation email I received when I ordered the product and asked them to make sure my account was cancelled and said I didn’t want the product shipped and I would just refuse the package if it did get shipped. Hopefully I won’t receive anything or be charged!

I’m a bit upset that I didn’t come across this site when I first looked into the product but just as everyone else has done I am leaving my comments just in case a lucky few do.

I ordered the trial version of both the supplements and the cleanse and after using them for a week I had to stop. It wasn’t that the product didn’t curb my appetite (which it did) it kept me up every night that I took it and I found myself blinking in the dark at 2 and 3am when I have to be at work by 8am. So needless to say I stopped taking the pills and since I only took them for one week I did not notice any change in weight.

I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner and had healthy snacks in between but I was lazy and didn’t combine any type of exercise with it.

Today makes day 14 of my trial and I tried getting through to a live person on the phone (800-839-9990) and after holding for almost 10 minutes I hung up the phone. I clicked Order Status on the website and clicked instead of clicking RMA to ship the item back without being charged further I clicked Cancel Order so immediately I my card was charged $19.41. Since I had a second ordered I paid attention to what I was clicking on and requested an RMA # in order to ship the product back without any additional charges.

i ordered on March 4th. was charged $1 s/h fee. by the 13th i still had not recieved the “trial” bottle. when looking at my statement online, there was a charge of $79.99- not even 14 days after order (and without even recieving). I emailed support- didnt get response. Called their Customer service- was on hold forever, but finally able to speak to someone. She was nice enough, when i told her i was charged and hadn’t even recieved anything- she tried saying “oh but it shows it is shipped, should recieve it soon” i told her i dont care, they can keep it. I want my money refunded- the trial period hasnt even ended and no product recieved. When she noticed that she apologized for them charging me “too early” and said she would refund the money. I Cancelled at the same time in to make sure i would not get charged a second time. So far i recieved 2 emails- 1 saying i was getting a refund and it should appear 5-7 business days back on card. There was no confirmation or ticket ID in the email- but i did have her tell me it when on the phone so i would have it incase refund does not happen. 2nd email was just saying i cancelled and no future charges would appear.

I ordered and just 3 days after receiving the trial they tried to charge the $79.99 to my credit card. Luckily my card called me and I told them I did not authorize the amount and canceled that evening. They told me I had to pay to return the item since the trial was for 2 weeks but they send you 30 days worth or I would be charged $19.99 or something around that. Customer service was rude.

It clearly states that a 2 week period is given to cancel the account through customer service or you will be charged an additional $79.99. There are also very clear instructions on the return policy in the same section that unopened bottles can be returned for the full reimbursement. Life lesson, read those little words before signing over your financials. Thats just good life policy.

I know now that a bottle of their pills aren’t going to help me with this body.. discipline and will power will do me just fine!! Just to think I could have spent that money on a zumba dance dvd. I have had the same issue that all of the above have dealt with….ordered there so called “free” trial and then was charged $79.99 5 days after I recieved the bottle. I then returned the bottle with 1 pill left to these P.O.S and made sure to get a signature verification so they couldn’t claim they never recieved it. I still have not received my refund. I called their number and was constantly disconnected because of some bullshit high call volume. I finally reached someone by entering my order # and hitting 0 to speak to a customer service rep. The 4 times I have actually reached someone I have been “accidently” disconnected during my call. Yesterday I got hung up on and called back and asked for a supervisor and demanded my refund. I gave him the date, time and name of the person who signed for it and he said “well i guess i’ll take your word for it” and claimed to have issued a refund. I did get an email saying that $79.99 was refunded to my card and I’ll see it within 5-7 business days. p.s I emailed them as well because I couldnt get them on the phone and recieved an email back saying because of a high volume of emails I would have to send one again with my issue and sorry for the inconvience. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM…..THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK!

After seeing this review and these comments I became a little concerned. On another website I found a way to cancel my order. If you go to leanspa.com and click order status then fill in the info it appears to cancel your order if you so choose. For added relief, if you go back into the same location and enter your information again after canceling your order does not come up again. Does it work? I won’t know until my pending transactions drop off (or I get charged more).

after reading all these i am worried. ordered it over a week ago and called to get return 2 days later. you have to call 1888-839-9990 and then put in your hone number and wait. i finally spoke with someone said mine was sent on monday we will see as when i spoke to someone on tuesday they said it was sent last thrsday. i have a return merchandise number and received a confirmation on that. but hesitate to return that they will not get it. so called back and said i will keep the 30 day supply and i will just eat the 20 bucks. now i worry they will charge me the 79. hope not. we will see. i should have read these first!!!!!

    Hello,
I just ordered both products and am curious about one thing. I see all of the negative comments about the 79 bucks, but none on whether or not it actually worked for any of you?????

    LEANSPA IS A SCAM!!!!
I’m in the same boad. I thought i only have to pay for $4.95 for shipping & handling. When i found out that i have to cancell within 14 days. i called them up right away but couldn’t get a hold of them by email, website for phone to cancelled. call credit card company to stop top them when they tried to charge my credit card, they said they cant do that. the credit card company said to wait till they charge the account and then dispute the charges from Leaspa…now after 14 days trial period, i called Leanspa and got thru a machine saying to press #1 to cancel the account and the cancelation confirmation will be sent to the email…it was that simple after the 14 days period when they already charged the $79.99 on my credit card.. They must use the calling ID not to answer my phone when i tried to call them to cancell within the 14th days trial. If LEANSPA a ligit. company and honest they shouldn’t have done that. they should give us a refund if we are not happy..
    SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

BOT SUPREME HEALTH is even worse. they charge me $118.75 for program in the computer that i wasnt aware until today…I tried to dispute the charge with their customer services she said what she want and hang up…didn’t even listen.
I will never order anything online again..They are all SCAM SCAM…REPORT THEM ALL TO BBB.

I ordered the product on 12/6 Guam date & rec’d. it on 12/15/10. You are giving me 14 days to try the product. Is it based on State side date or Guam’s date? If state side date, I really don’t have much time to try the product. I only used it for 2 days so far. Today is 12/17/10 here, started it 12/15/10. Thanks you & Merry Christmas.

I haven’t received my “free trial” products as yet. I ordered before I read these reviews. I called to cancel so that they would not send me the $79.99 product. However, I only was able to leave a message on a machine, so I really don’t trust that they will cancel any future mailings. I called my bank and closed the card that I used so that they will not be able to dun my account. If they have already sent something other than the “free trial” stuff, I will not accept it and have it returned as undeliverable. Wish me luck!

I just received my “free” trial and didn’t receive it until 9 days after. Once I got it I found the tiny print that said unless I canceled they would charge me the 79.99. I canceled and am paying the $20 for the so called “free” month so I don’t have to pay to ship it back or have them say they didn’t receive it. Has anyone else done this and still gotten charged the $80? After reading everyone’s comments I am nervous I may still be charged. By the way, for the people who need the number it is 888-839-9990.

Product doesn’t work. They also do not give you 30 trial as advertised. It takes them 14 days to get product to you then expexts cancellation within the next 19 days. Also do not refund money as advertised. I called and and asked for refund and the would only refund partial refund. Then they didn’t follow through with the refund. They never refunded my money. They will automatically send next batch even though you cancel subscribtion. In short. Don’t do business with this company unless you want to be ripped off.

I ordered the trial Leanspa from a pop up menu. There was nothing there that said I would be charged $79.99. I tried contacting them after my credit card was charged but they were unrelenting. They were rude. False and inaccurate advertising. It’s all a scam. I want my money back!!!

When I called leanspa a computer comes on and tells you wait is 30 min. If you go into cancel then they tell you it is $19.41 to cancel. I thought I was smart, but I guess I’m not. It is bad enough with the economy the way it is for people to get by with scams. From now on I will never click onto anything

I ordered the trial of Leanspa and was told there were no catches. My credit card was charged 1.99 for shipping. In less than two weeks, my credit card was charged an additional 79.99. People should be aware that the Trial is far from free.

    Monica

Robin, were you able to contact Leanspa to remove the 79.99 charge? My account was just charged even tho i cancelled everything and i cant get a hold of anyone!! Horrible customer service and no doubt part of their scam!

There is a way to get your money back. Work with your bank and put payment on hold due to arbitration. They will send you a form as to why you will not pay this charge.

Ok so I ordered mine and it was a total cost of about $4 and as soon as they took their $4 out of my account I called my bank and closed my account to avoid further charges from them. Now they have decided to let me pay $20 to keep the product. I really dont know how they will get the $20 cos the account is CLOSED!!!

LeanSpa is a total rip-off. I too was charged for a so-called “free trial”. I called to cancel and the customer service rep was extremely rude. She promised that my account was cancelled. That was 3 weeks ago. 2 days ago I was charged AGAIN! I have not received any product in 2 months. Now I can’t reach anybody. I’m going to my bank to claim fraud.

We tried to order from them and after inputing our credit card number were told the address didn’t match the address, seeing we have two address tried again another problem. We finally stopped only to find they had charged our credit card 7 times. our credit card company called us and stopped payment, guess it is a scam.

it says right on theorder form and your receipt that if you dot cancel in 14 days you will be carged the 79.99 and continue every 30 days. Just amke sure you cancel within 14 of making your order, not from when you get it. I just ordered and have it marked on my calendar for when to cancel so i dont get charged.

I have been on the phone w/ them for over 30min now fighting to get 2 $79 cgaeges removed, they are telling me that even thou i sent back the “trial” before the 2 wks was up (and sent it w/ sig required) that they have no record of it and that i have 2 acct w/ them and only one was cancelled ( are you kidding me) this is the worst scam around. i have beed arguing w/ them and they have the nerve to tell me that i have been shipped more product as of yesterday. i may just lose it.this needs to be reported to someone that can do something about it. this is sick business.

I just checked my credit card statement on line and found a $79.99 charge from leanspa.com. I am calling the Consumer Protection agency in Pa to report this company. The phone # listed sounds like an advertisement for a 900 #. “Have a good time…” There doesn’t seem to ba a way to contact them after the fact.
