Lipid FX is a Scivation fat burning supplement. The official website no longer lists Lipid FX as a supplement they currently sell. There are other fat burners, whey protein and the like, but no Lipid FX. Third party websites continue to sell Lipid FX and some even support the claims of increased fat loss while taking the supplement.

List of Ingredients

Tetradecylthioacetic Acid, PhosphoLean, Oleoylethanolamide, Stearoylethanolamide and Green Tea.

Product Features

Fatty acids comprise the majority of Lipid FX. The supplement could have been created with CLA, conjugated linoleic acid, was extremely popular claiming that fat loss came from eating more fat, but this is only a guess. According to a description of the supplement online, taking fatty acids means reducing appetite and increasing fat burn. There is some support for appetite reduction when dieters follow low carb, high fat diets, but not when taking fatty acids in supplement form.

Green tea is added to Lipid FX for some reason. Though we cannot put a finger on the connection between fatty acids and EGCG, we love the fact that Scivation chose a proven ingredient for a weight loss supplement. Too bad it is no longer sold by Scivation. We looked around and found no traces on the official website of Lipid FX, so we looked for another fatty acid supplement thinking they simply changed the name and we found Essential EFA. The fatty acids have changed and there is Vitamin D in this formula, but this could be the supplement that replaced Lipid FX.

There are no reasons to take Lipid FX for weight loss other than as a good supply of essential fatty acids and green tea. There are no stimulants in the supplement so it could fall into the overall health category as opposed to the weight loss category. The fact that Scivation no longer lists the product on their website means any supplies being sold online are probably old. Buying old supplements can lead to illness or worse, so make sure to check the expiration date with the seller before buying.

Lipid FX may not improve weight loss, but the ingredients are smart additions to any healthy lifestyle. More fatty acids help balance out the Omega 3 / Omega 6 imbalance that many people suffer from. Then again, we support any safe, stimulant free supplement that contains green tea.
