What You Should Know
Lipomax Pro offers an official website, but the information on that website cannot be trusted. The company lists all ingredients, clinical weight loss research and allows the dieter to order the supplement directly. The reason the product is not trustworthy is sheer exaggeration. One section of the product description claims, “If you discover you are losing more then 9 pounds every 11 days, please stop taking LipoMax Pro.” This statement is used to convince dieters they will lose tons of weight. Not only is the statement leading, it contains spelling errors.
List of Ingredients
Proprietary Mineral Nutrient Blend: Bitter Orange, L-Tyrosine, Acai Berry, Caffeine Anhydrous, Cayenne Powder, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Guarana Extract, Siberian Ginseng, Apple Cider Vinegar Powder, Bioperine and ChroPicol.
Bitter orange is a source of synephrine. Synephrine is a stimulant related to Ephedra, but without the proven weight loss benefits. Synephrine is proven to increase heart rate, blood pressure and nausea, in people who are sensitive to caffeine and other stimulants. The nausea could suppress appetite, but not in the right way.
Acai berry supplies antioxidant benefits, but no weight loss benefits. Caffeine anhydrous is a powdered form of caffeine found in supplements. It will increase metabolism and heart rate, compounding the effect of synephrine. Alone, caffeine is a safe supplement for weight loss. When combined with other stimulants, it could cause dangerous side effects.
Cayenne powder helps the other ingredients absorb faster. Green tea leaf extract contains caffeine and EGCG. EGCG is proven to boost metabolism, as is caffeine. Again, the caffeine in green tea leaf extract will add to the stimulating effect of LipoMax Pro.
Guarana is another stimulant. That is four stimulants in one product. The remaining ingredients could have clinical studies from the National Institutes of Health supporting weight loss benefits and it would not matter because compounding one stimulant on top of another can lead to dangerous side effects or addiction to those stimulants.
LipoMax Pro sells for nearly $100 a bottle.
- Caffeine increases metabolism.
- Green tea is a safe and effective weight loss ingredient.
- Too many stimulants compounded into one supplement.
- Costs more than proven weight loss supplements.
- The website reads like a marketing page.
- Too strong for some dieters.
LipoMax Pro is a supplement that dieters should approach with caution. The ingredient list is packed with stimulants. Caffeine is proven to boost metabolism and green tea leaf contains EGCG, proven to boost weight loss. The remaining stimulants may push the dieter beyond a comfortable stimulant range causing jitters, shakes, nausea, vomiting and rapid heart rate. Stimulant side effects can lead to hospitalization or death, in extreme cases.
