Lipotrim Carb Blocker Review
What You Should Know
The name Lipotrim has been used for a variety of weight loss supplements over the years. Lipotrim Carb Blocker is a supplement that is rarely found in major vitamin websites. The supplement was created by BioLean and it is still available for sale from some smaller vitamin companies. The going price for the supplement is in the $50 range, quite high for a carb blocker with no carb blocking ingredients.
List of Ingredients
- Garcinia Cambogia
Chromium is the initial ingredient on the label. We love to see companies using chromium because it is safe and effective for various health issues. There are some experts who believe chromium may help ease symptoms of depression, lower cholesterol and help patients with glucose intolerance or type 2 diabetes. Study results are controversial, but we know that chromium supports insulin activity in the body. The majority of women consume all the chromium they need via diet and men consume more than they need, but supplementing up to 200 mcg per day does not appear to be associated with negative side effects.
Garcinia cambogia, on the other hand, is not as safe. There are reports of hepatoxicity (liver damage) associated with certain combinations of weight loss ingredients. The details about the precise combination is not readily available, but suffice it to say that Hydroxycut pulled all supplements form the market under the watchful eye of the Food and Drug Administration not too long ago to remove all garcinia cambogia from its formulas. There are many supplements out there that contain garcinia cambogia, but when an ingredient is involved in a massive recall like the Hydroxycut recall, we tend to tell dieters to skip that ingredient no matter what other ingredients a company chooses to pair with it.
- We found a complete list of ingredients for Lipotrim Carb Blocker.
- There is no carb blocker in the formula.
- Garcinia cambogia may cause negative side effects, especially if taken with other supplements or ingredients.
Lipotrim Carb Blocker is a no-go because of the garcinia cambogia, but even if there was another stimulant ingredient in the formula we would still tell dieters to skip this one. A carb blocker typically contains white kidney bean extract – the only ingredient proven to stop the breakdown of carbohydrates from long fibers to smaller fibers. There is no white kidney bean in this formula.
