Dr. Roni DeLuz, RN, ND, Phd. and Life Style Consultant has written a book called Loose 21 pounds in 21 days. Though many people are skeptical when they read the title, some say it works. The diet is a “detox” diet. That means that for 21 days you do not eat any solid food. However, according Dr. DeLuz, this does not mean that it is a starvation diet because you are still taking in food. You just drink it instead of eat it.

The diet has a strict schedule that calls for a blended cocktail every two hours. At 10:00 A.M. you blend together a few different kinds of berries and drink them. At 12 you do the same thing, just with vegetables. What this supposedly does is rids your body of excess fat and toxins, thoroughly cleaning out your system.

Because you are not taking down any fatty foods, you do loose weight. Because you are not eating any meals at all, you loose weight very rapidly. Though this sounds like it would be destructive to your body, the author claims it’s healthy and good for your metabolism.
