Master Your Metabolism Review
What You Should Know
Master Your Metabolism: The 3 Diet Secrets to Naturally Balancing Your Hormones for a Hot and Healthy Body! is a book written by well known fitness professional, Jillian Michaels.
List of Ingredients
Michaels discusses the various hormones in our bodies that play a role in metabolism, appetite, and how they work together for optimal health. These hormones include: cortisol, leptin, ghrelin, and testosterone. She also discusses three things you should do to keep your metabolism working at its best, to help you burn fat so you can maintain your weight. These three concepts are: remove, restore, and re-balance. Remove what she calls “anti-nutrients” from your diet. Anti-nutrients include foods such as: MSG, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, refined grains, trans fats, preservatives, artificial coloring, artificial sweeteners, and other chemicals. Restore fat burning foods into your diet. Fat burning foods include: omega 3 fatty acids, lean proteins, organic when possible, and fresh fruits and vegetables with low glycemic indexes. Rebalance hormones and energy levels with the diet, regular exercise, and plenty of sleep. By removing the anti-nutrients from your diet, and restoring the fat burning foods in your diet, you are rebalancing your hormone and energy levels so you can feel good and lose weight without trying so hard. Once your hormones are balanced, you should be able to maintain your weight after you lose. She says that for results to show, you should hit the gym four to five time s a week and exercise even if you hate it.

Master Your Metabolism: The 3 Diet Secrets to Naturally Balancing Your Hormones for a Hot and Healthy Body! seems like a good option at first glance because of all the information in the book. When you really get down to it though, most of the meal plan only gives you 1300 calories a day, which is not enough to sustain you without slowing the metabolism down, especially if you are doing such high intensity exercise alongside it. Rather than slow your metabolism down, we recommend following a balanced diet, working out regularly and using a proven weight loss supplement for a little extra help.
